Awakenings Stepmom Terms of Endearment The Notebook
And even though I haven't seen it, I'm going to agree with Marley & Me since I cried like a baby while reading the book

Re: Saddest Movie?
Oh yes, and Marley and Me. I cried so many different times during that movie. Especially when she had her MC and he was laying with her. So sad.

Re: Saddest Movie?
I agree with so many, but a more recent movie I cried so badly was Toy Story 3 (the scene when the mom came in to her son's empty room and also when he gave up Woody to the little girl. )

I felt the same as your DH. I saw it in the movie theater and was looking around when I realized everyone else in the theater was sobbing.

Re: Saddest Movie?
Two scenes in Braveheart - in the beginning when his father/brother die and they're being buried and Murran (sp) his future wife comes over and gives him a flower. And at the end when he is being killed and looks into the crowd and sees her.. EVERY time i watch this movie (and i've seen it a ton of times)
Usually any scene with animals dying gets me to bawl too

Re: Saddest Movie?
My Life starring Michael Keaton. Saddest movie I have EVER seen. He finds out he has cancer around the same time his wife finds out she's pregnant. He's going to die before the baby is born so the movie is about him making home videos about all the things he wants to teach his child before he dies.

Re: Saddest Movie?
I never saw half these movies and now I know why - after reading wikipedia entries I found myself tearing up.
Now that I have a son I doubt I could ever see Sophie's choice, stepmom, my life

If it makes you feel any better, that wasn't a real Ferrari, but a Ferrari body kit over like a Fiero or something. LOL!

Re: Saddest Movie?
I'm surprised no one's mentioned "One True Thing" with Meryl Strep.
Having had a mother battle cancer - this movie really hit home. The way your relationships change or how you view loved ones all because someone is terminally ill.
The book is 1000X's better but the movie is VERY sad.
