Shaking, trouble breathing, and discharge (PUG)- UPDATE 6/15

Our Pug is not doing so well.

She is breathing VERY heavy and it seems that she is having trouble catching her breathe. She is shaking and eating VERY little. SHe is also having some kind of vaginal discharge. (sorry if that is TMI). She hasn't gone to the bathroom in 16 hours Chat Icon

We are taking her to the vet first thing in the morning. Has anyone had anything like this in their pets?

Here is Roxy:

UPDATE: 6/14
Roxy is at the Animal Hospital. They have done the Xray while we were there and said that there is a mass blocking off one of her lungs and her coloring is off and she is not getting enough oxygen.
They also think that she might have some kind of mass or serious infection in her uterus.
They have kept her to do blood work and an antibiotic IV drip. Right now the Vet said that "it isn't good". We are very worried and sad. Please keep my little girl in your thoughts and prayers.

_____________________________

Update 6/15:

I just called the vet. They said she has no more discharge and seem to be responding well to the anti-biotic.

Her blood work was clear and her white cell count was fine. They believe that she has an semi - enlarged heart and might have had pneumonia- which would cause a mass (fluid) in the lungs.
They think the infection spread down to her uterus and should get better.

All in all we are not out of the dark yet, but it is looking better. I can pick her up later today and I am going to ask more questions.

Thanks again for you prayers and thoughts.

She is not as active as usual, but she is looking MUCH better and there is a visual difference compared to the way she seemed this weekend.
We have an antibiotic we are giving her for a week, and also a heart medication that she has to take from now on.

THANKS AGAIN!!! I really appreciate everyones concern and prayers. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have thought about bringing her, but honestly she is sleeping right now, and I rather her see her normal vet being that she has a seizure disorder.

Thank you for the well wishes though.
