Hated it!! I was waiting for Meadow to get killed. I spent 8 years of my life watching a show for it to end with the fact Meadow cannot parallel park. *&@$(%&%(^)&*!!!!!

Ok...I looked at the credits and got the guys name Paolo Colandrea. He is in the credits as "man in diner, wearing members only jacket"
I searched him on Yahoo and pulled up an article about him and the last episode. It pretty much says that he is a pizza shop owner who was randomly picked out by the talent agent who went into his pizzaria. Nothing about previosly being on the show. Check out the article.

I agree, he said it after Leotardo was shot. I got that meant Jersey won because they took out the top guy in Brooklyn.

I took it as Tony won too.....NJ won over Brooklyn.
You guys are really making me think here...last night I HATED the ending..wanted to throw the remote at the TV (but DH wouldn't let me ) but now I'm thinking it was a pretty good ending......got my heart racing. I am HOWEVER still very disappointed in the whole episode. I was bored (just as I have been for most of the season) until the last 10 minutes.....

I like the idea of the "everything goes black" theory.. but i don't think they woudl have shown the guy actually go INTO the bathroom. If that was the case, I think perhaps they would have cut away before the guy actually entered the men's room.....

Tony's not dead, he's not in witness protection. The show just ended with life going on for them. As I previously said, Tony got his kids life under control and now he's going to jail. That's the ending. They don't show him going to jail, it's implied. You can decide when that happens for him.
The theory of it going to black is interesting but if they wanted to kill Tony they would have just done it. Why leave room for guessing? They wanted us to see how Tony's life is. He has to constantly wonder if someone's there to kill him. When the guy walked to the bathroom Tony looked at him for a moment. Tony knows he can be taken out at any moment. But he wasn't. The show is over but life goes on for the Sopranos.
I think it was a brilliant episode and a great series finale.
