Re: Starting South Beach again tom. Anyone else on it?
Food from yesterday (Wed) - I'm so boring I ate pretty much the same stuff as Tuesday
Breakfast - Dannon Light & Fit Sugar & Carb Control Yogurt
Mid-morning Snack - 1 oz 2% cheddar
Lunch - Roll-ups: 4 slices light turkey and 2 slices of Provolone
Mid-afternoon Snack - Sugar-free/fat-free Jello Chocolate Pudding cup
Dinner - 1 avocado stuffed with chicken salad on a bed of lettuce. Very tasty.
"Dessert" - 1/2 mug of Low Carb/Low Sugar International Coffee Vanilla Creme (I fell asleep before I could finish the rest! )
Drinks - Sugar free RockStar Energy Drink (it was a long day), Lipton Spiced Chai tea, water.

question for the lettuce roll ups how many slices of turkey and cheese are we allowed? TIA.
I don't think there's a portion limit. If I remember from when I read the book (a looooong time ago), with the meat and low-fat cheese, I think you just eat until you're full. I think "recipe" in the book uses 4 slices of turkey, so that's what I've been doing.

Re: Starting South Beach again tom. Anyone else on it?
How is everyone doing on their diet? I started on Tues and only lost 2 lbs I find it is pretty neasy now, the 1st 3 days were difficult, but now it is easy, I even went out to lunch today and ordered appropriately, pushed away the bread, not even 1 french fry I just want to be one of those who lose 13 lbs in 2 weeks

Pushing the bread away!! That's so hard to do. Congratulations!!!
You shouldn't be discouraged at all - 2lbs since Tuesday is great! I've done SB Phase 1 a few times and the weight loss is always different. You might go a day or two without losing or just losing a little and then lose 2-3lbs really easily.

Re: Starting South Beach again tom. Anyone else on it?
Friday food list:
Breakfast: dannon sugar & carb control yogurt
Lunch: large chicken breast with lite caesar dressing (was supposed to be a salad but I decided I didn't want the lettuce )
Mid-day snack: 1oz of 2% cheddar
Dinner: Flounder filet stuffed with crab meat. I had one small glass of white wine with dinner and I felt really guilty about it.

Re: Starting South Beach again tom. Anyone else on it?
ok, how did everyone's weekend go, I think my biggest obstacle was not having a few beers with my hubby, but I overcame No cheating AT ALL and down 5 lbs
BTW- I just read you can have the Slim Fast shake, not the Optima one, but the regular old one, hope this is helpful, it is an easy meal if you are in a bind

Re: Starting South Beach again tom. Anyone else on it?
I did really well eating wise this weekend, but also succumbed to the drinks on Saturday. I had 1 rum & diet coke and then several vodka & pineapple juice. I don't think I did TOO much damage since I ate high protein and low cal that day and yesterday. Yesterday, I just had roll-ups and chicken salad in an avocado.

I wish. Phase 1, although I forgot we weren't supposed to have carrots until Phase 2.
ETA: Besides the carrots, did you notice something on my food log that isn't Phase 1 approved? I have my SB list but I sometimes forget what's allowed Let me know if you noticed anything. If I'm cheating, I'd rather do it on purpose

Re: Starting South Beach again tom. Anyone else on it?
Tuesday - also known as "The Day I Ate A Lot of Salmon and Turkey"
Breakfast - 2 slices of light turkey and 1 slice of light havarti
Lunch - small salmon filet with balsamic reduction
Snack - 1 slice of light turkey and 1 slice of light havarti (I'm a creature of habit)
Dinner - salmon filet (see? ) with dijon mustard and artichokes
Dessert - my weird no sugar Vanilla drink that DH says tastes like an overly sweet graham cracker.
