spin off- who can actually change a flat tire?
I have no idea how to change a flat
I have road side assistance- but I have always called my DH to let him know what happened
and when my Dad lived in NY- I would call him also
mostly to vent- my car only has a dounut and the tires are $250 a piece
and I have gotten quite a few flats
if I was on my way to work- I would have called someone I work with as well- in case I was late

I know how, but I do get scared of getting hit by a car on the side of the road, or being approached by a stranger. So anytime I've had a flat and I'm on the side of the road, I sit in the car, lock the doors and call AA and DH.

I can actually!
I've seen my father, friends, FH do it a hundred times. It's not hard at all, believe it or not. I can also check the oil (and put it in) and do a whole bunch of guy things lol

when I first got my license my dad bought me a tool box to keep in my trunk if I ever was stranded. Flares, reflectors..etc.. I learned and did it once or twice.
I have Allstate and AAA and don't need to but if they took a long time to get to me I would just do it. Ok, to sit in the car warm and wait.

Just remember that AAA can't come on the Parkways, so get off at an Exit (if possible, obviously).

My biggest problem is loosening the lug nuts. Not sure I have the strength to do it anymore.

I can and I have had to do it on the side of the road twice. The road wasn't busy thank God. I arrived at work very late and dirty  .

Beth-don't you have an SUV? I was told when I got my first Jeep that SUVs HAD to have a full sized spare and not a donut!

I can with help - the equip is heavy. DH got me AAA for this reason! I would call him and if he couldn't help, then I would call AAA.

I know how, but I've never had to do it. I've actually never gotten a flat tire! {knock wood}
About 5 years ago, I wanted to drive upstate to see DH at school, and my Dad wouldn't let me drive unless I knew how to change a tire. Soooo GOOGLE taught me how!
He has AAA now - this post just reminded me that I should probably get my name added to that account.

I have drive flat tires...or whatever BMW calls them. So I don't have a donut in the car I can drive I think like 50 miles on a flat.
