Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hi ladies!
Looks like things are going well for everyone and you guys are feeling the baby. It is soo exciting!!!!! I started feeling the baby here and there around 14w5d, then last week (17 weeks) it really started moving alot! I looooove this feeling so much! I had little glass of coke over the weekend and the baby went nuts afterwards - I was so loving it! Sometimes it tickles so much I really have to control myself not to laugh out loud
I'm offically 5 months now! Woohoo! I can't believe how fast this is going!!!! I have an anatomy scan on 8/7 - is that the same as a Level II? There seem to be a lot of names for the same test
So far I'm feeling great, although I sometimes get a nasty cramp in my azzzz I really can't companin though, it has been a pretty easy PG so far I hope everyone is doing well!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I am having major swelling in my feet but my headaches seem to be subsiding so that is good. The Dr said there is not much I can do about the swelling except put my feet up and drink lots of water. I go on the 31st for my level 2 so we are excited for that. Other than that feeling pretty good.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Other than still being completely exhausted, I'm feeling pretty good. my heartburn hasn't been as bad. The other annoying symptom, which is either related to pregnancy or my lack of sleep, is eye twitching. For the past week, several times per day, my right eye has been twitching. Hopefully, it will go away soon.
has been pretty active, especially at night. I can't wait to start feeling kicks.

My or was doing acrobatics in my stomach last night around 10 pm, it was so cool. If I am laying down I can see my belly moving slightly, it's so amazing! I am still exhausted! I try not to take a nap after work, but if I dont nap then I am in bed by 9 pm! Hope you're all feeling good!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Lots of fluttering going on here. My hubby is so jealous and can't wait to feel it. I have my level II on Friday, so hopefully we'll get the confirmation it's a girl. They told us two weeks ago it was, but we never saw three lines. They could only not see the "frank & beans" so stated it was a girl.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
To tell you the truth, I didnt know that I was feeling the baby until on Sunday morning when I was listening to the HB on my handheld monitor. I heard the baby moving around on the monitor and all of a sudden I could feel the movements along with the sounds!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hey ladies!
I finally feel better mentally, got a good AFP result (after a restest). Other than that, I am feeling pretty good (hate to jinx myself). Feeling a lot of movement, m/s is much better, and not very tired. Not much heartburn. I haven't even gained anythign yet, still just lost about 2 lbs but the belly is growing.
So far, so good, that's all I can say and that's all I can ask for. Just praying now for good level 2 results and curious to know if it's a boy or a girl (but I think it's a boy).

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hello ladies,
Just an update on me.
I went to my monthly doctors visit today. They just checked the basics...weight, blood pressure and most importantly the babies heart beat. Which, the doctor said, sounded good. Which was great to hear.
Next Wednesday (July 30), I have an appt for my anatomy scan. I can't wait for that!!!
Oh, I also got a blood test done for downs. Did anyone get this done?
I feel like I accomplished a lot today!!
ETA: How much weight has everyone gained, and how far along are you??

I got the sequential screening done...at 13 weeks they measured the fluid behind the baby's neck and compared that with my blood test results. My chances came back 1 in 10,000 for downs...At my last appointment they did blood work to test for spina bifida and neural tube defects, they called and said my numbers looked great. That was a relief! I am 18 weeks now and at my appointment last week I had gained a total of 7 pounds, not too bad! :)

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hey Girls-
Just giving an update.
Went for 20 week appointment tonight and found out we are having a ! Super excited!
Everything looked good. The sono tech was laughing cause she got all her shots then the little guy turned and posed for 1 picture and moved all the way down and backwards so that she couldnt get any other profile shots. We got one good one and a pee pee shot though.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hey ladies! I posted a seperate thread last week when I had my 20w appt. Everything looked great during the anatomy scan & we found out that we are havnig a !
To answer the weight gain question, as of my 16w appt I had lost 14lbs. At my 20 week appt, I gain back 4 lbs. So I am still 10 lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight. I was a bit overweight to begin with.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
How has everyone been feeling? It seems that most of those who planned to find out the sex now have definitive answers. Congratulations ladies!
I just got back from vacation in Maine. The weather didn't really cooperate, but I was able to do light hiking a few times. I've been feeling good although I wouldn't mind sleeping better/longer.
I can't believe I'm over 20 weeks. The second trimester has been flying by. has been pretty active, but I still wouldn't call what I'm feeling "kicks" yet. To me, they seem more like strong flutters/vibrations. I haven't felt any outside movement yet either. I'm really looking forward to DH being able to feel the baby - hopefully, that will happen soon.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I'm not sure what the baby's movment feels like! So far I only felt some slight poking sensation once about a week ago but nothing like the fluttering everyone has described!
I'm so jealous of those who are feeling the baby's movement...
Has anyone registered yet now that most of us probably found out the baby's gender? :D

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I registered and then switched some things to gender specific things..I went nuts this first week knowing it was a girl....I need to pace myself, bc by the time it gets close I'll have nothing to do, and I really need to keep myself occupied all the time, it's just my personality!!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Update here. We felt the first external kicks last night, 9 of them, at 21 weeks and 2 days. DH even felt them, they were very strong! It was so nice. I wonder how frequently I will start feeling them?
We have just started looking at furniture, etc, just to get a feel for what is out there. I am very disappointed with EVERYTHING I have seen. I have not seen anything at all that I find appealing....it all looks the same to me.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I totally forgot about this thread--I feel like I haven't seen it in awhile!
Still having the excruciating sciatic pain--they figured out that it's due to a herniated disc in my back so unfortunately I'm on prescription pain killers. They are certainly no miracle, but I'm not allowed to take anything stronger. I'm not a spiritual person at ALL, but I've been praying for strength almost daily.
Other than that, I'm really enjoying the pregnancy. I have a nice little baby bump, is moving around consistently every day (and I've learned to stop jumping when she does!), and I'm about being more than halfway there!
Our registry is finished, and now, like many others, we are on a quest for baby furniture, which is much harder than I thought it was going to be. We'll probably be back at it today for a little while.

We decided to start it early because of my back problems. I'm quite sure I won't want to be walking around BRU for 3 hours in the coming weeks.
It was a lot of fun...I kinda wish I could erase the whole thing and start over!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hi Girls! I had my level II on 8/6 and have joined team !! I am feeling better now, still tired, but not nauseous anymore, and I am so happy about that!! is moving around all the time...I love the look on my DH face when he puts his hand to my belly and feels her moving around. I have to admit it, being that it's our first...it's extremely surreal. Even during the level II I couldnt believe what I was looking at!! We went on a cruise 2 weeks ago, it was awesome...I enjoyed possibly our last vacation before the baby comes. Hope you're all doing well...cant wait to hear some more updates!
