The Debate
That's why you settle a lawsuits - to avoid an admission of guilt. He really does think the American public is too stupid to understand his crap

Why isn't she wearing an American flag pin?
Why does it matter? I just don't understand why this is a thing that people ding politicians on.
To me, it seems like she's mopping the floor with him. She's keeping her composure and Trump's too aggressive with his interruptions and debating the moderator.

The Debate
I was totally turned off when I saw her mouth "hi Mark" to Mark Cuban after being introduced. Are you preparing to run a country or head to the gym for 5th period? I found myself laughing at his smugness and her pagent queen responses and then I realized that one of these two is going to be running this country pretty soon. Horrifying.

This.
How she's keeping a straight face and not busting out laughing shows she has a lot of stamina.

That's funny. I see it the total opposite way. I think she's trying to hit "below the belt" and it's making her look like a childish school girl.

And not telling him to STFU and stop interrupting her. I am wondering if anyone has a count of how many times he did it to her vs. how often she did it to him.

Re: The Debate
I have no idea how she was able to keep a straight face listening him all night. He said the same few words over and over again. I can't wait to see how many times he said the word tremendous because you know someone is counting that. She got under his skin and was on the defense all night. I know this debate won't change many minds but it should.

I agree. I guess people see what they want to see. Because I don't see her winning this debate at all. She hit below the belt in many aspects. I think she looked foolish in some of the things he said, that she did not reply in a way to clear herself.

Perspective I guess. I thought the same but for him. Cheap shots, acting childish. I think she was as calm and collected as she could be.

To all the people who assumed Hillary would "wipe the floor" with him, I hope you recognize now that she is in a lot of trouble. Her canned pageant responses are getting very old.

I can't wait to see a transcript of the debate. Each one of her responses had an intro, body and conclusion. Made her responses sound incredibly robotic and pageant-like.

I felt like they both had childish moments where I cringed for each of them. I will say that for me, Trump handled policy ok but when it came to personal issues you could visibly see Clinton got under his skin. I felt that despite trying to get under Clinton's skin, Trump failed to do that.

The Debate
Still not impressed with either of them. I think they are both losers tonight, definitely no clear winner. I'm still undecided as to whom I'll vote for come 11/8.

She was calm but far from "wiping the floor" with him.
I don't think he threw cheap shots. It's a debate and It works both ways.

I don't think he really pushed to get under her skin. What really made me is how she bashed trump for liking beauty contests and attempted to make him sound like a sexist jerk, then spoke about all of the success had as president. So, who are we voting for, you or your husband? If you're going to take the stance that you're fully capable and independent enough to run this country, do not stand in your husband's shadow.

Re: The Debate
Trump just told a reporter that out of respect for Chelsea Clinton he didn't speak about Bill Clinton's indiscretions BUT he might bring it up during the next debate.
Seriously??

Re: The Debate
He was an absolute train wreck. EVERY bit as entertaining as I thought it would be. He stumbled through the whole debate, interrupted HRC like a 5 yr old, didn't answer any questions that were presented to him, patted himself on the back constantly, said stupid incoherent crap, and basically came off as completely ill informed, unprepared, and unfit to lead this country. He made a complete fool out of himself and did absolutely NOTHING to help his campaign.
I give HRC credit for remaining so calm and poised in the face of a crazed madman who actually uttered such nonsense words about his wonderful and amazing temperament. She didn't have to say a thing tonight, he was digging his own grave EVERY time he opened his mouth to say anything.
Can't wait for debate number two so we can watch HRC mop the floor with him AGAIN!

It def feels like we're watching an SNL skit. Life imitating art imitating life.
I wonder if this debate will move the needle in either direction.
I said the same! Esp when he is drinking the water.
Regardles, she comes off too rehearsed and that smirk of hers is so annoying. I think he is holding his own and doing an awesome job. By far.
The only thing he's doing an "awesome" job of is patting himself on the back. Other than that, he hasn't said one intelligent thing. He was a joke tonight. COMPLETE joke.

Seriously??? Give me break, at least she sounded intelligent and actually stayed on topic. He was a babbling moron. This debate wasn't even close, he might as well have stayed home instead of showing up at Hofstra and embarrassing himself.
Obviously not directed at your comment Eliza

Re: The Debate
IMO, none of them were good, but I don't like either of them. She was a politician, saying scripted things to please the public; and he was the anti politician, non prepare and with no real speech. At the end, so bad those are the only options.
