I have lost 8 pounds in 4 weeks. I also use all my bonus points. Do you feel like you lose more weight per week if you don't use many or all of them?
I find I lose more if I don't use as many but I think it's more important on how you are using your points.
I notice if I use my points towards healthier items (yogurt, fruit) versus my preferred crappier food (insert any carb in here), I lose weight.
thanks

Re: Weight Watchers Thread
I made lifetime today. I'm very grumpy though.
No one mentioned it in my meeting other than the receptionist giving me my card. She said congratulations. Also she can't subtract so on my card, it says I lost 24.4 but it's 25.4lbs. I know I'm being a brat about it.
I must be PMSing. Or maybe it's because my life-sucking co-worker successfully sucked the life out of me talking about how this program will never work.
Ah, this board is excellent for venting. I feel better now. Especially better than if I was 25lbs heavier, right?

Re: Weight Watchers Thread
Congratulations Barbara!!!
Love this thread because for now I am doing WW online and this will be the accountability factor I need (we start at work soon so waiting until then for meetings)
I started last week but my weigh-in on Monday showed no weight loss (no gain either though). Kim has talked me off the ledge by assuring me that it's all because of AF so hopefully next week will be better.

Congrats Barb! I would be mad too. You haven't gotten your 25 pound magnet or washer and they did not talk about it in the meeting. If I ever reach goal () or lifetime I want a marching band there to greet my skinny azz .
But on a serious note you have really accomplished something so amazing and you look fabulous. Saw some recent video of you and was You have changed your life and your health for the better and we are all so proud of you!

Re: Weight Watchers Thread
So I am going on a mini vacation this weekend and I cannot stop thinking about what I am going to eat and how am I going to avoid the bad stuff. I usually look forward to vacation but all I can think about is staying on track.
Any suggestions on how to stay on track with my points while eating out for every meal?

Re: Weight Watchers Thread
I just started doing WW on my own on Monday.....I've lost 18 pounds on my own and now looking to lose the rest via WW.
My first "weigh in" is on Monday morning so hopefully I'll see a loss of at least 2 pounds. I'm getting a little fustrated at the .4, .8 losses.....I feel like I need a "big" number to keep me motivated.
So far this week is going well so I'm committed.........that and family photos on the 28th of October and I don't want to be a fat azzzzzz in them

Maybe have one meal where you splurge a little?
I would probably snack like crazy on vegetables, salads & water-based fruit to make me full before dinner. Instead of ordering entrees, order appetizers since they're smaller & just as good (and usually less expensive).
Try not to drink your points.
Walk, walk, walk...do activities.
When you come back, get right back on the program.
Enjoy!

I think this is all excellent advice and I don't have much else to add.
I think having one meal where you don't go balls to the wall but can "enjoy" yourself without thinking too much is a great way to get over the stress of being perfect on vacation, because in actuality no one is perfect.
You're going to have so much activity (not to mention all your flex points) I wouldn't even stress about it. Enjoy yourself but make smart decisions!

Great advice...thank you ladies! I am bringing my cooler with fuit, water and 100 calorie packs to snack on. I plan on hiking and going for walks every day so that will help off set any higher point items I eat. I feel good about it and know I will be okay. Thank you!
