Who here is Pulling and Praying?
In the last 2 months, DH and I have picked up this horrible habit. DH is always saying how that is the last time that is going to happen, but now it always seems to be happening. It is so much more fun to be risky. Stupid, but fun. Anyone else?

DH & I have done that for years!!! It's worked everytime.
We actually planned having Jared, so it wasn't a pull and pray accident...

ok, for those who may be TTC'ing OR are of the mindset "whatever happens, happens", i can see and understand the pullout method
but if you are not ready for kids yet, why take the risk??

I'm on the mindset of whatever happens happens - that is why we use the pull & pray method. I am not planning on having a child this second but if I got pregnant both DH & I would be thrilled to welcome a child into our arms. We're not worried about if it happens, we're adults, we can handle it. I dislike BCP/hormone types and he dislikes condoms, so this is what we decided. it may change after my 10th child but we'll make that decision down the road.
I hope anyone using the pull & pray method would know the ramifications though of it and consider it before using it.

fine. we are out of debt, money in the bank, he graduates in May. We would be happy either way. Having a baby in 2 more years has its benefits are far as traveling and home furnishing. Selfish reasons. We just don't want to take the plunge right now.

well, in our case...I've never used BC. I have tried so many methods and dislike them all. The otehr method stinks....not good for my female side. Ehem...infections. I'm sorry TMI but he asked  It's worked so far and if we get preggers again then it will be great w/ us. After that then I will have to use some form of control.

I don't mean this in a bad way, but why do feel guilty about BC?
as a Catholic married women for 3 years, who is financially capable of having a child right now, I feel like karma will catch up with me. Once I have a baby I am not working anymore. We won't have the disposable income we have now. I think it is wrong of me to put off having a baby until my home is furnished, been to Europe...etc. Baby is a miracle that I think I have to leave open to God.
