WWYD - update

ok. so I'm not sure what to do.

I've had 2 miscarriages, and will start actively ttc this month.
My issue isn't getting pregnant, it's staying pregnant.

friends are planning a trip to aruba in oct. DH and I really want to go.

but I'm scared to be away that early on in the pregnancy. The way I figure, I would be 8-10 weeks prego, which is where everything goes wrong for me. On the other hand, I don't want to live in the negative or the what ifs.


what would you do ???

I've decided to book the trip (woo hoo!) but wait 1 month ttc.
so if i do get prego right away, I will be finding out right after I get home from Vaca! so i will have nothing to be nervous about.

I would go. I don't like to put life on hold for the what ifs. You should go and have a great time.

I think you should go and buy insurance on your tix. That way if you do get PG, and dr feels its "high risk" then you can cancel.

I had 2 m/c's as well before DD and completely know how you felt. I was so paranoid over everything..."what-if's"...KWIM

Anyway, DH had to keep telling me, to live my life, what is meant to be is meant to be. I truly believe that. When I got PG with DD I didn'd do anything different during the first trimester (except no BD'ing) and everything was fine.

Go on the trip. Have a good time. And who knows, maybe if you're not PG by the time of the trip...you'll conceive in Aurba...

If you keep m/c around the same time it is probably a hormonal thing. Maybe you should get your bloodwork taken to see where you are at.

I was pg when I went away and I m/c on the trip. I would be reluctant to go. How about you just wait until after the trip to TTC? It will give you something to look foward to when you get back.

I would go! I wouldn't even think twice about it.
What if you're NOT pregnant and you miss the opportunity? You're not even pregnant yet!
Even if you are , that wouln't cause a miscarraige, and even if the trip were planned, and you got preggo before hand, and you don't feel comfortable going....you'll deal with it then and sell the tix on ebay!

We are TTC really hard right now, and have 2 trips planned...one 22 hours away! in the next 6 months. NEVER live your life according to TTC...just take pleasant surpises as and if they come.

I'm so sorry for your losses

ITA with Conigs & would recommend trip insurance if you can get it...this way you won't miss out on the trip if you aren't pg and if you are it would be safe to cancel. Best of luck
