WWYD?

Stay as a sub and HOPEFULLY land a leave replacement ina district you ALREADY took a leave replacement in and did a great job (according to your principal who then went on to offer you a position which unfortunately you were not certified for)

OR

Take a position as a TA for a little more money in an entirely new district to make your mark elsewhere?

I am afraid that on my resume it will look like my old district didn't take me back after a leave. KWIM?

This is so hard I never know the right decision.

If there is nothing available right now in the district you were already in, personally, I would go to a new district and make connections while keeping in touch with people from the old district.

are there any leaves coming up? is anyone looking to retire this coming year? is anyone up for tenure that might not get it?

if you answer yes to any of these questions - I think I might stay where you are.


We have a TA that is going through this now. Our principal thinks it would help her more to be a permanant sub rather than a TA

Thanks girls. I'd like to say there should be things opening up but if the middle school teachers don't stop coming down to elementary level, I am never going to get a classroom of my own.

I think I am going to stay where I am for 1 more year. If by Sept 2010 nothing has changed, I'll probably switch careers.
