thanks so much ladies its been a few days and i havent seen the dog. So i will attampt to approach the owner next time it happens.... point of the story is i dont care what kind of dog it is. even if it was a 2 lb fluff ball!

why not put up a fence?
Fences are really expensive. And you shouldn't have to feel unsafe on your own property. There is a leash law in most city's. I would contact your local animal control place and ask them what to do.

call the police or call your township to know who to call to report it.
I would do that immediately!
