Ugh im sorry this thread turned into this aswell. Disagree all you want, but i have never in my lifetime seen a candidate, running for President, belong to such a hate filled church before.
And i stand by the fact that no way in hell someone other then Obama would have been elected President in TODAY'S world, with his background.

most organized churches spew anti-semantic remarks at other religions? And call other races Devils? Funny ive been to several and never heard such things. And if i did, i would have left ASAP. Not baptize my children there, like your boy did.

ITA with this. Unfortunately, I was baptized in a church that was later found to have a pedophile as the priest.

I was called a devil by Hassidics when i lived in brooklyn and was told that if you were not jewish and particularly Hassidic that you were dirt. Let's see catholics murdered how many people over the years, they are against women for priests (completely sexist), they have hatred for homosexuality and those who practice it, now we will go to some really hardcore cult like christian faiths who applaud terrorist actions against abortion clinics and doctors, how many pope's were anti jewish?
I am not saying religion is horrible but i think anything touched by man has been tainted, just like politicians they are scum in my mind.

you'll be happy to note that illegals have been completely shut out.
the hype and hoopla is making this MUCH worse that it will seem.
hopefully people will understand who the REAL bad guy/gal is here..the INSURANCE COMPANIES.
they NEEDED to be taken to task.
providing "groups" for people to opt in to *SHOULD* make things less expensive. if they don't the INSURANCE COMPANIES are to blame.
now lets ALL of us get together and start an all encompassing grass roots campaign for TORT REFORM. arguing over this gets us no place!

Wow there is nothing questionable about his ties to Wright. And while i agree that every religion has questionable members, it doesn't excuse the fact that he stayed there for 20 yrs listening to it. Would you have stayed in that church? the minute you hear your pastor attacking other religions and races , should be the minute you leave the parish

Yeah your right there are plenty of modern day Presidents that belonged to a church that called African Americans devils. And hated the Jews. Plenty of them started their career with domestic terrorists [Bill Ayers] as well.
Bottom line is most of you are hypocrites. And you know damn well that if these videos had come out, and it was John Mcains church that was guilty of Hate-Mongering, his political career would be over.

This post is an example of the problem with politics in general today. Instead of attacking the provisions of the bill, people start attacking the president and his ideologies. Anyone who honestly believes that there are no problems with health insurance is really disillusioned. Do you really believe that it is wrong to provide insurance to chldren? Do you really believe that it is wrong to do away with caps and pre-existing conditions? Talk about details and stop using the healthcare bill as a platform for spewing your dislike for the president of the united states. Whether you like him or not, he was elected by the people of this country.
BTW, when Biden said "We own the insurance company" I believe he was referring to AIG specifically, not the insurance industry in general.

Why is anyone even entertaining his argument? He clearly came on here to cause trouble! I haven't looked....but I'm guessing Tommy hasn't posted much since the election when he was pretty vocal about his hatred for Obama.

Guarantees in life - death and taxes. Taxes are going to happen. I simply have to prepare and live frugally. Thank G-d I married a fiscal Republican with an MBA who can manage money. We have no debt and we have money in the bank though I don't know how long that will last now.
What I am concerned about is the quality of care my family and loved ones will get when hospital funding is cut drastically. I pray that I don't fall prey to Alzheimer's the way my father did and won't need a nursing home. They aren't all poops and giggles now - I fear what the nursing ratio will be then.
What I can do is try my damndest to live a healthy life and try to avoid illnesses.
G-d help the baby boomers.
I cannot live in fear until 2014. I just can't. I do not support this. I did not vote for this. I don't care if popular opinion is left or liberal. I don't want a debate. I ain't changing my opinion.
