yes
DS1 is in school and i worry about the germs he brings home. also i work in a hospital....i get the shot but have seen kids VERY, VERY sick from the flu.
I had the flu when I was in my early 20's and it was HORRIBLE. I literally would have to sit on the bathroom floor for 10mins to get energy to go back to bed after going to the bathroom.

Definitely! For both kids, ages 15 months and 4 years. When I was at my pediatrician's office, for a well child visit, I asked about when it was coming in. The doctor said the past year, when most kids got vaccinated, was amazing in terms of hardly any kids getting sick. She joked that the flu vaccine will knock them out of business.

yes
both my children receive the flu shot every year.
neither one of my children have ever had an adverse reaction and neither one of them has ever come down with the flu.

Yes, and DH and I will be as well. DH works in Manhattan and takes the train, I don't want him bringing the flu home to us. I got her one last year as soon as she turned 6 months. I believe in vaccinating against the flu.

Not sure yet. I want her allergy tested for eggs first as she has a bad milk allergy and I know a fwe kids that have both.

I'm thinking I might for my 4 year old. He will be going to two separate schools/daycare...that's a lot of germs.

No for 2 reasons
1. Last year, our ped. advised us not to get it bc DD was healthy and hadn't been sick at all her first year.
2. I have gotten the flu shot only once in my life - right after I got it, I had the WORST case of the flu I ever had and I swear for the next 4-5 months I was never 100%. IMO if you are a healthy person and take precautions (ie. washing your hands) you will be fine

DS will be 2 in October and hasn't ever gotten the flu shot. However, he will be getting the flu shot this year. Although he is home with me he will be going to school 1 x week plus other activities I will be signing him up for. I feel like now more than before he is more likely to get his hands dirty, touch toys that other kids have played with, etc and eventually get his hands in his mouth. He's been a very healthy boy thus far (knock-on-wood, only 1 fever a few months ago) and I feel his little body is able to handle this live vaccine.
DH and I get the flu shot as do DS' grandparents (my parents).

Yes. DS is with my sister all day not daycare but she has school aged children and who knows what theyre touching lol so most definitely DS is getting it!
