Recommendation for hearing test

Hi Ladies,

My son is currently receiving speech services. He didn’t qualify for early intervention but he still has a speech delay. He currently goes to speech one day a week. He rarely mimics words and he pronunciation of many of his words are lacking. I am thinking of getting his hearing check, just to rule out any hearing issues. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good hearing therapist on the south shore of Long Island? I guess I would go to an ENT doctor? I live in West Islip.

Thanks for the heads up about the Port Jefferson place! What about Stony Brook hospital. Did anyone have experiences with them for hearing?
Thanks!

I took DD here when she was a baby (~1 year old). I have nothing bad to say about it. She was found to have perfect hearing...not sure how they could really tell in a 1 year old, but they did. I had been telling the speech therapists that her hearing was fine, and it was. It was actually very cool how they tested her...having noises come from different areas of the room and watched to see if she responded.
