i wasn't breastfed however i really want to try to breastfeed my child. i really hope i can do it.

I was BF and I BF with #1, and plan on with #2.

I was not ( and it was considered unheard of and taboo in my family) but I previously BF til 5 months with #1 and til 22 months with #2 and hoping to do 2 years with #3. BFing worked awesome for me ( and my body) last time- Cant beat being able to sleep through the night and lose a ton of weight without dieting

I was not. My family for some reason considers it gross and were mortified that I BFd my dd. I really truly hated BFing though. My milk never really came in well and I would get those painful menstrual cramps every single time. Like drop to your knees and throw up contraction painful. After 3 mo I stopped and finally got to enjoy dd. I am sad it didn't work out. I will try with #2 but if the cramping is just as bad i am not going to put myself through that again. Ironically, breastfeeding prevented me from bonding in the beginning. I so wish it had worked out for me. I do not share my family's beliefs but I also don't thing BFing is always best.
