Let's talk pet peeves
I cannot stand the phrases- "who doesn't like..." Or "who wouldn't want ..." My MIL assumes the entire world shares her likes and opinions--such a pet peeve of mine!

My mother in law calling my son "my baby". I'm sorry but I don't recall when they cut him out of your uterus, so no he is not YOUR baby.

I had to find this thread just now because I just realized I'm irrationally seized with hatred for anyone using the hashtag #nomnom to describe their stupid, f'ing meal.
Other than that, I'm not much of a peeve person now ask me what skeeves me out and I'll be all over that one ![Chat Icon](c/19.gif)
This is how I feel about #blessed, I don't know why but it makes me roll my eyes when it's used for the most inane things.
Like, this should be used if you just escaped death

The grammar police. I am not writing a thesis, you know what I mean
People who just stop in the middle of the sidewalk!!
This doesn't affect me but I hate when someone is ordering say at a deli or paying for groceries and they are on the phone and The worker tries to ask them a question and they can't hear
Super parents who do everything better than you and have kids who at 14 months run marathons, cure cancer and speak French
People who have Facebook and use it to complain about all they see in on Facebook. Quizzes etc
Don't have Facebook then!
I didn't think I had a lot of pet peeves but ALL of these I agree with. Especially the grammar police, get a life

Anyone parking in fire lanes! Everyone in the world should have to walk around your car. I don't care if it's "just for a second" walk your lazy ass from the parking lot. I want to ram my cart into your car, hard and repeatedly.

Not my mother, but my aunt does this crap.
She's always like "how's our boy and that's our boy" about everything.
The best was when she took one of his pics and made it her FB profile.
I was steaming for days on end but couldn't say anything because it would've created a war in the family.

I told my husband and he said something to her. She said "but he IS my baby!" And I said "no, he's MY baby." Then she asked what she was supposed to call him.
How about your grandson?
Thank god she doesn't know his to use a computer.

When people are on line to pay at a store and they're so far up the next guys ass they can touch his prostate
When people bring dogs to places they shouldn't be like stores or worst I've seen panera
People who leave their garbage all over the store instead of finding a trash can

Passive aggressiveness
When people take 20 minutes to get out of their parking spot while doing their makeup, brushing their teeth, straightening their hair, etc etc all while they know you're waiting for their spot.

I just saw this after reading this article in the Times about "blessed." So funny.
I have a completely irrational pet peeve, but it makes me when anyone uses the word "super" as an adverb instead of an adjective (and EVERYONE does it. But when I hear anything like "this is super cute," I cringe. I cringe all the time, in other words. )

I had this argument the other day at my il's house, mil says "give me the babies dish". I said she's not a baby, she's 4. Well what are we supposed to call her "how about her name.".
But she doesn't steal my fb pics.

People who change the ending of words from "...ers" to "izz". Like "crackizz" instead of cracers. Goes through me.
People who smoke near babies and kids-even outside.

"So sorry for your lost" NO! It's loss
or the use of worst, instead of worse. "i feel worst"
I KNOW! Or "worse case scenario."
I want to ask them, do you even know what you're saying?

Let's talk pet peeves
People who lean on the pole in the subway...um can you not! People who leave their bags on the seat next to them on a crowded train. People who breathe loudly. People who are sick on a plane, people who don't push their luggage through the conveyor belt at security, people who have issues at the checkout counter, people who text and drive, people who text and walk, people who don't move out of my way when I'm running and make me run around them, people who leave their children unattended, people who chew loudly, people who use their cell phones at the dinner table, children who run around in restaurants, people whose music is blasting through their headphones, people who haphazardly use exclamation points, people who over use the words "amazing" and "hubby".... I can go on forever.

Hashtags in general, but I hate when people use hashtags like #allthe

Re: Let's talk pet peeves
The hash taggers of every word bother me too. I have a couple people I follow on FB who do this.
They are also old enough to not be into this IMO (late 30s and even 40s).
I also notice it's a trend with certain people I follow too (usually drama seekers) but the cryptic posts like I HATE MY LIFE AND WANT TO DIE and then they never come back and respond.
It was mentioned up thread too but also over-sharers.
I want to crawl under a rock FOR them with some of the things certain people share......
