A coronavirus outbreak hit a Florida government building. Two people are dead but a vaccinated employee wasn't infected

(CNN)Two people are dead and four of their coworkers were hospitalized after a Covid-19 outbreak swept through a government building in Manatee County, Florida.

So, in the context of this one specific case, 100% of those not vaccinated and exposed all were hospitalized and/or died.
The only person who was exposed and vaccinated had no infection.

Proof that being vaccinated matters. It could literally save your life.

I’m starting to think mandated vaccines for workplaces are crucial now.

Why? Because of one story that came out that we don’t know much details other than 2 people died and the 1 person in the department that didn’t get sick was vaccinated? What about other offices that spread the virus that was not all over the news?

We have 18 people in my office, 16 were vaccinated, 2 were not, those two got covid (one tested positve and presumably gave it to the other who tested positive very soon after). Can't get simpler than that

(And yes the 16 of us got tested and all got negatives)

How bad was it for them?
Were they asymptomatic, got very sick, hospitalized, died?

Better then speaking about cats that have nothing to do with the conversation.

It actually does have something to do with the conversation since you mentioned every coronavirus and mutations.

My bad, HUMANS as I don’t think the poster’s inlaws were interested in finding out for their cats. Chat Icon

Would anyone really take the scientific word of any user here?

“Oh yes, in-laws. You’re protected. I asked on this website where the timestamp is set back to 2004 and a user by the name of BippityBoppity26 said that you’re covered 98.6% until at least November 12th for the new variant. BippityBoppity usually sticks to the fashion forum and gives recommendations on leggings and once gave me a great quiche recipe, but I trust them.”

Not knocking Diva but your comment about “as usual still no answers”.

No one here is equipped to answer her question safely or accurately.
