I wouldn't try to prep for it. Unfortunately I failed both tests...I ate a relatively healthy diet and haven't gained much weight, it's just the way the body breaks down the sugars. It's better to fail the test and treat the GD rather than try to disguise it, if that's even possible. Good luck!

My doc said don't fast no matter what the lab tries to tell me.
I am going to eat a high protein breakfast- eggs and cheese maybe.
I am not going to eat any carbs that morning. I would just rather not....

for the one hour you can eat regularly until you drink the glucose soda. for the 3 hour you have to fast.
i had gd with dd and i just failed my 1 hr. there is no way to cheat the test.
there is a recent study out that stated that gd is underdiagnosed. about 5% of women are diagnosed but the study found that it is more like 15% of women have gd.
