Anyone else have NO CLUE as to what they're naming their child?

I'm so excited to be having a girl (if you only knew my obsession with Pink... ) but, i'm seriously not in love with ANY girls names. And i know it sounds stupid (and i swear- pre-pg i had much thicker skin than this and probably would've laughed at someone else saying it) but i feel guilty not having a name picked out because i feel like she'll think i dont love her as much ('cause- you know how babies in utero hold grudges and alll.... ). Yeah, i know it sounds crazy, i just feel bad though.

We had a boy name picked out years ago, but never a girls name. DH has a name that he LOVES. He uses it all the time when he talks to my stomach and it irritates me when he does lol I just hate the name. I wish i could compromise, but it's such a popular name and one that i associate with too many other people. I don't hate it for anyone else (its not an ugly name or anything) but if i think about naming *my* kid that name- i hate it. But then, there's not really any names that i'm in love with, either.

Anyway, i'm just rambling on now- but just curious if anyone else is in a similar situation?

It is the same for us but we don't have a boy name.
We used the only name we agreed upon for our son! I do not like any names that he likes and he doesn't like the ones I pick out.

I am going for my Level II today and we are on team .

If this baby is a girl..Alexa Nicole will have a name as soon as I deliver

If this baby is a boy..........I am scared we will not have a name picked out by then!

Since we are team green we need both. We are stuck on a boy's name. We have a girl's name.

LOL, I'm the complete opposite!
We just found out we're having a boy - we've ALWAYS had a boy's name picked out, since before we were even married! But now I feel kind of - I don't know - weird about it because I feel like everything's all settled and we still have four months to go! I've already told DH and the rest of the family that we won't be referring to the baby by the 'chosen name' while he's still in there and I reserve my right to change my mind at any time! I'm trying to get DH to come up with some alternatives, just in case, but we always end up coming back to the same name anyway. So it's likely to be that name, but I can't bring myself to commit just yet!

I know we are having a and there are 2 names I love and am having a tough time deciding.

We only came up with DS name in the 9th month

we're still torn between a few names, nothings just jumping out at us.
I figure once the LO is born the name will just come to us.

we're team so im having twice as hard a time! we cant agree on any names. i have time to think about it but im very frustrated because i always thought that choosing a name would be a piece of cake.

I am in my 31st week and we still dont have a name for our . It is so frustrating. I feel like I could name like 10 girl names that I love and we can't think of any boy names!! SO frustrating! I am such a planner that I feel like I can't wait until he is born and I feel so bad calling him "him" all the time! Please let something come to us soon!

I'm 33 wks & we have a first name picked out but no clue at all as to a middle name. It's frustrating

For a boy, we have no clue at all. For a girl, we have a name we both love for a first name but no idea for a middle name.

We already used our favorite boys name.
*I* have a girls name picked out and really hope DH comes on board with me.
If we have a boy, we keep adding and crossing off the list.
Just like when I had DS...We'll probably pick the definite name, right there in the OR.
With DS we had the boys name picked out, but, not a girls. As they started the surgery DH was like "Ummm hon, what do I tell them if its a girl"..LOL
We'll probably do the same this time around. We'll wait, see what the sex is, and decide in the OR.

We didn't know if we were having or , but we had a girl name picked out very early on. We had a harder time with the boy name. DH was vetoing a lot of names without suggesting any alternatives. Finally, we decided on one, but I think the fact that we named DS after my mom, he was more open to the suggestion.

all we *know* for sure is a boys first name.

everything else is up in the air.

I feel like I don't want to decide until I'm IN labor, b/c I am constantly changing my mind about everything.

I have to say, I was just looking over the top 100 baby names of 2008, and cringed at the thought of my kids name falling ANYWHERE on that list.

my first name is UBER popular. it gets annoying after a while. It's like it's lost it's ability to be a 'pretty" name...it's just what you hear every 10th girl you meet.

I am in the same boat as you! I hear alot of names I like, but nothing that I love. I still have a few months to decide, but everyone keeps asking. I just tell them we haven't thought about it yet, which is not the case at all.

When we do decide, we are not planning to tell anyone IRL anyway. I don't want to hear people's opinions...I am just going with what we like.

We hopefully will find out the sex on April 17th. Same as you DH and I couldn't agree upon names for the first baby so the one name we did agree on is already used for dd. We have 3 possible names for a boy . No idea if its another We are not going to worry ourselves until we find our for sure. We were joking around what if we just reverse dd name for this baby... from Jade Elizabeth to Elizabeth Jade for the new baby if its a girl.

We are having a and my DH is SET on him being a Junior...I wanted to be more creative with the first name and maybe have DH's name as the middle...but I cannot convince him that his own name is not as good as something else! So right now I have no idea.

I kinda feel like we have no clue because we are not discussing names AT ALL.

If it's a boy, it's supposed to get DH's father's name (which I don't love as a name but I don't *HATE* and am okay naming) but nothing concrete on middle name. And I'm trying to come up with a middle name that we could actually call him by but get no agreement and no input (except by giving me more of his relatives names ).


If it's a girl, it will get one of three names (one being his sisters name, one being his aunts name - both are deceased - the other being a name I threw in from left field that he's okay with but thought I meant as a middle name). But I don't really have a preference on any so it almost feels like I'm not committed to any of them.

We were in the same boat as you for a long time. We just recently FINALLY settled on a name for our . And to make it official I even ordered letters for the wall in the nursery. There's no turning back now!!

You still have time so don't worry about it too much at this point. It will just happen one day... something will click.

We haven't picked a girl's name yet. I have my level II in 2 weeks, so if we are having a girl, we need to get moving on names.

Our boy name has been picked out for a couple of months already.
