Re: BTDT- What did you put in your hospital bag that you actually used?
For my first son I used one of those "lists" and had a ton of crap I never used. so this time I am bringing the following:
- granny panties. i have jockey french cut ones. im there for 3 days so i'm bringing 6 pairs in case i stain.
- my own towel and washcloth. the hospital ones stink!
- toiletries. i couldnt shower b/c of a c-s so i just cleaned up. makeup, deodorant and a blow dryer were used the most.
- pjs. i needed to change my clothes everyday and hate hospital gowns.
- slippers. so you can walk around the floor. I dont like socks on my feet all the time but skeeve floors. bring flip flops for the shower if you plan on showering.
- snacks. fiber one bars. cookies. lots of small water bottles.
- coming home outfit for you and the baby. bring your most comfy maternity clothes. you wont be in reg. clothes right away.
- camera and phones w/ chargers.
- boppy if you are breastfeeding or have a c-section.

Re: BTDT- What did you put in your hospital bag that you actually used?
To add a few...
EAR PLUGS!! - if you don't have a private room, I made DH get them for me after the first night when my roommate was crunching and clanging a cereal bowl and crying at 4am.
Black yoga pants, I just felt more secure in these with granny panties and a giant pad on - felt like everything would stay in place better
Slides/Sandals - I preferred to keep my socks on rather than wear flip flops
SNACKS - I got hungry at the most random times and it was good to have something right there

Re: BTDT- What did you put in your hospital bag that you actually used?
i wish i had flip flops -showers were nasty (winthrop) I had only pjs in hospital bag - i ended up wearing the sweats/bra i went to the hospital in initially the whole time when visiting baby in nicu. ew. i went early - i didnt know i would be induced- long story- common sense would have been for me to ask dh to bring clothes for me to wear but i was a zombie and didnt think straight. so pack clothes if in case- you don;'t want to be walking the halls in nightgowns and no bra if god forbid your baby does need nicu.
