Re: can we please have discussion about sex after kids?

We definitely don't schedule it, our schedules are too haphazard for that.
We both initiate at different times, but sometimes we will "promise" to DTD later that day and one or the other is exhausted so it doesn't happen.
It definitely requires effort, but as OP's said, it's almost always worth it afterwards. We definitely desire each other - it's just that real life gets in the way.
The how often is a good one...DS is 8 months old and I think up til 6 months we had s*x 3-4 times. And we've had it 3-4 times in the last two months...now that DS goes to bed at a reasonable hour it's definitely easier Chat Icon

Re: can we please have discussion about sex after kids?

We just bought a house, and are moving in on Saturday. DD is 7 mths old and is sharing our room right now, so w/ me being tired and her teething, it's been about 3-4 weeks for DH and I.
He keeps telling me he can't wait for her to get her own room, so we can get back to being more frequent and spontaneous.

We need to work on this. I am too d@mn tired, and now DH broke his nose. Chat Icon It's always something. There are nights where I am like I will go get him, and then I pass out instead. We're not too bad, but definitely not as much as before DS.

Re: can we please have discussion about sex after kids?

after ds #1 we had a drastic decrease in our sex life... between exhaustion and a lack of desire... HOWEVER there must have been some form of a spark since my two sons are 15 months apart

this time around it seams easier...

no we do not schedule it, but then again dh works overnights so we ae only in the same bed twice a week....

if we are being honest here....

sex is exhausting Chat Icon DH & I have had it a few times since DS was born but we had to wait 10 weeks, I had an episiotomy AND I tore to the side, so there was no way in he11 I was allowing DH to go near me Chat Icon We've since had it a few times, not scheduled...initiated by both of us.

It's very exhausting nowadays
