I don't understand why Obama supporters get so upset when people want to question Obama about ACORN, Ayers, Wright, etc. Obama is explaining it all away anyway, so great, fine, but why do people not have a right to question his character and judgment? It seems to be OK when they criticize McCain's judgment, right?

That ACORN fiasco is mindblowing - absolutely mindblowing.

They need to be indicted! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

They have been. Glad obama gave $800,000 to them. Of course, not in the papers.

no - they have not. the OH branch is under investigation, but no indictments!

The St. Louis branch was indicted

I didn't hear that. GOOD!

I'm sorry but did McCain just say Palin is a role model to women?

I think in some ways, she is. She is a mother of five, in a successful marriage, and governor of a US state. I'd say that isn't too shabby of a resume.

And hey, how much more real can this be - a working mom who has no oversight over her promiscuous teen daughter Chat Icon

But this happens every day to millions of families.....I am sure many people on this site alone got pregnant as a teen. You can't always fault the parent.

I love how Obama keeps his cool and never gets miffed at McCain bashing everything about him and what he does. Obama never says anything in retaliation. He's got class!!!

either that or........he just has nothing to say because he agrees with McCain! Chat Icon

I doubt that. Usually people only get defensive when they have something to defend. He seems comfortable enough with himself that he doesn;t have to get his panties in a bunch. I think that some people know how to put things politely and democratically without letting their huffy little emotions show. Seems like good diplomatic material to me! Chat Icon

True. However I don't see how any of those things make her qualified. I was looking for McCain to talk more about where she stands on issues.

But this is a parent pushing an abstinance-only sex-education agenda. Obviously, it was not effective.

Well, this is what bothers me. If his running mate was a man with however many kids she has and a child with DS, he most likely would not have mentioned any of those things. What does her being a role model have to do with anything?

Ok, not for nothing, but I support someone who says, "We will look into drilling off shore" more than someone who says, "We'll do it and do it now!" That seems like a scary attitude to me. I want someone who will look into things and not rush into them.

I think b/c women in politics have a harder time than men - if Hillary were a man, she would have been the nominee instead of obama - JMO

NOTHING. What was he going to say? She was not his first choice, or even his second, amd IMO, those things he mentioned do not make her qualified.

what, that is out of the ordinary? She is the first working mom with a pregnant daughter? You don't think this represents a portion of America? You don't agree this makes her more real n some ways?

he doesn't mean tomorrow, he means sooner than "looking into it", which will most likely turn into never!
