You need a GOOD ACCOUNTANT!!!!!!
One of my best friends is an accountant and she said very rarely do small business show a profit, and if they did, they would not use her accounting firm the next year

I believe it has more to do with the # of employees
This is correct. A large business is let's say, where I work, that has 1000-5,000 employees. My dad's business has/had 3 employees. Now there are only 2.

I don't agree with McCain....but I have to say he's FINALLY holding his own in this debate. He actually seems to be there to debate and not just recite random annoying lines.
I'll still be voting for Obama, of course!

they will never pass as proposed so don't sweat it.

it's not DH's company. but he helped make it a huge success (he came in when it was making under $2M a yr).
if his boss gets taxed more, someone loses their job. probably not DH, but someone would.
and a small business is defined by # is employees, gross sales and profit margins.

You would have to hide hundreds of thousands of dollars...and that is a bit illegal. Yes, an accountant should find the most tax breaks you can, but the majority make more than $250...a lot more.
