I am curious - and I don't want to get into whether shots are good or bad I'm not looking to debate that issue- but I have a probably naive curiosity question for those who do not give all or certain vaccines or delay them.
Do you have concerns about travel? Do you travel with your family? How do you feel about putting your child on a plane - where they might be with people from other countries or even here who are carrying one of the diseases that your child hasn't been vaccinated against. Is this a concern or something that you don't worry about?
I traveled to Hawaii twice (once when DD was 9 months, once at 20 months). I did not worry. She had all of her shots, I just delayed the MMR.

I just want to say that I never thought of this honestly. I am traveling with Andrew in May and he is a few shots behind. Now I am worried about traveling. I will have to talk to my ped about which ones are most important before we go.

I was curious only b.c people catch things so easily on planes like colds, flu etc. So I wondered if this was something people worried about DD will get her MMR shot on schedule - but I had thought briefly of delaying it to 15 months or 18 months but decided against it since we are flying when she is 15 months old and you read and hear stories of people catching all sorts of things on planes. I guess I worry more about DD getting some of these diseases over the shot b.c my grandfather lost all of his hearing at age 2 or 3 to one of the diseases we now vaccinate against.

Not to bring drama to the board but I just had to replace my DS social secuity card. the only proof they wanted of my son was his immunization records. I also brough his birth certificate but they told me they go by immunization records because iof the fact that so many illegal aliens are here an they try to get SS cards all the time. Because they are not from our country many of them don't have htier immunizations which is why here is now an increase in sicknesses like Whooping cough etc...
