I swaddled DD first with arms tucked in, but she didn't seem to like it, so we stopped using the miracle blanket and just went with a swaddling blanket and kept her arms out and she was much better.

nope, he hated it. We tried to just wrap him in a receiving blanket too but he would kick it off at night

We only swaddled T for about 4-5 weeks and she was constantly getting her arms out but transitioned to the sleepsack great. F was swaddled a little longer (about 7-8 weeks), she could not fall asleep without it. I say try it and see if he does ok with the sleepsack.

Other - Sarah wasn't swaddled. She broke out of it immediately, even as a newborn in the hospital.
Andy was, he loved it. Probably would still let me if I tried.
