Re: How did you feel about having visitors while in the hospital after having a c-section/or vag delivery?
I had a scheduled C-section. We warned our parents ahead of time that we only wanted visitors for a short time that first day - not more than that. Everyone followed our wishes and it was fine. The following couple of days our parents and siblings were there for a few hours each day. It was perfectly fine.

Re: How did you feel about having visitors while in the hospital after having a c-section/or vag delivery?
I had a scheduled c-section that took place around noon on a Friday. I had vistors in the recovery room - just close family and DH. I had to be in the recovery room for 6 hours because I had twins so they allowed visitors if I wanted them. And then I had them the entire weekend. I enjoyed it, but I also can understand why someone might not want it. I was very overwhelmed by what was going on in my life so it was reassuring to me to have so many family and friends stop in for a bit...and no one overstayed their welcome.
Like others said if it bothers you have DH tell family/friends that you would prefer to see them when you get home with your little one. I rarely go to the hospital to see babies these days, I rather spend the time with the mother, father and new baby when they are ready and comfortable to see me.

I had a c/s and I didn't mind everyone coming to the hospital. I had nurses poking and proding every 10 minutes anyway, so there really wasn't any "down time" there.
It was at home that I just wanted some peace. My c/s hurt like a b*tch and I was uncomfortable and just felt like I couldn't get into a groove with DD with everyone hovering.
This is exactly how I feel. I felt fine after my c, it's now that i'm getting overwhelmed with visitors.
I also think your room accommodations make a difference. I had a large private room. Plus there was no way we were keeping my fam away. There was even trays of food an a cooler full of drinks
