the police are going to get the tapes
"for insurance purposes"
b/c I don't trust them not to destroy them
if they tapes prove the valet took the car- he will be arrested and the garage company will pay for the car

they woman in the garage thinks I am talking about a regular $25K mustang
she has no idea that this car is worth double that- and was signed by steve saleen himself
this car was in the chicago auto show-
atleast the cops knew what I was talking about

he leaves the car keys with them

Bring a tape recorder - or bring a lawyer with you. I don't think this lady quite understands how serious this is.

Did they SEE Jake before they took his car out? Your DH is one BIG guy. They must be REALLY stupid. Have them arrested but sue the parking guys. Stupid guys don't earn much money.
I laugh b/c the picture of your husband (well I presume it is your husband in your avator) reveals he is a big GUY!!!! I wound't want to mess with him.
I hope this gets resolved for you guys

update- she wasn't there so Jake couldn't talk to her
we went to the police station- and they are going to send someone over for the tapes in the morning
Jake is very calm- I am very proud of him
if she erased the tapes- she proves her guilt
our lawyer and my Dad's lawyer are also going to contact her
plus- I already started telling other residents in the building- just to let them know what happened

I'm glad that you got the police involved. I hope everything works out tomorrow morning and Jake gets reimbursed for all the damages to your car.
I know you said you dont want to keep your car in that garage, but hey, maybe they'd give you an extra spot for all of your trouble!!!
