Whats so bad about it ? How else are u supposed to wear them? I don't get it

As long as you can't see through them I don't see a problem with it. But those are hard to find. So a long sweater or shirt is usually a must

Its just when they are worn with a short shirt/sweater/tank and you can see your butt.
If they are layered under a long sweater or the like, its much different.

h&M sells super thick ones. the sweater im wearing covers my vag and most of my butt.. i think im in the clear phew!!!

I have dresses and skirts that are just as tight on my ass as leggings.
Why is THAT ok and not leggings?
What is so wrong with seeing someones ass in pants or leggings or a tight skirt?
I think it's ridiculous.
I don't own long bulky sweaters and tops..not my style.

I sometimes think this too when wearing my leggings. I love my leggings as pants! And I make sure they aren't see through so I think i'm in the clear.

black thong so no VPL , thick tights and a flowy sweater that has a see thru underlayer thing that covers my lady bits. nobody should be looking at me that hard.. but they will anyway because i am always in scrubs. all 30+ ppl in my other office that i will be going to the afternoon will have a comment.. allllll of them.

They all look great. I agree, if you have a great ass, then you can get away with showing your butt. Unfortunately, I see a lot of people wearing them that way and it is not flattering at all.

I dont get it either.
I wear them.
Always with long shirts that cover the front and back!
Mine arent see through but through time they can.
I found ones that are great quality- Aeropostale had, even at Mandee's.
ETA:
As for jeggings- these are my skinny jeans that are pretty much jeggings for me, so this outfit isnt ok? Image Attachment(s):

No one's said that on here.
People have said over and over again it's about the thickness of the leggings. If you can see your underwear through your leggings, you can't wear them as pants.

Those tops are not dresses....so the leggings are PANTS!!!

See, I personally don't like the look in the first 2 pics. Yeah, she has a cute little behind but I don't want to see it's outline & crack (like I can see with that girl/s PLUS her camel toe & no matter, what, I believe that you can always see camel toe when you wear leggings, reminds me of tights.)
but if your goods are covered, op, I think you're good

She has a great body but IMO that's very unflattering. Camel toe is not sexy. Whereas leggings with a longer shirt/sweater looks great.

I think if it is a dress, it's ok. If it is leggings with pockets, that's okay too. When is has no pockets and is very thin, it looks weird with a short shirt, then it's not ok. Even with my 5yo. I don't like shorter tshirts with stretch pants, unless it's leggings/jeggings with pockets. Just looks weird to see a bare but just thinly covered in thin fabric.

See I have heard people say both.
The thickness issue I get.
I don't wear leggings personally either- not my style at all- except yoga pants on the weekends- and those are thick.
And no, my ass is rarely covered in those.
I also really never wear pants- I generally only wear dresses and skirts - year round. So it's actually a bit of a moot point for me.
I do understand if they are thin - almost like opaque tights- you don't wear them as pants.
That's for under a dress.
But on here I have seen- no leggings as pants- with no mention of the thickness issue- and that is what i just don't get.
