I don't have issues w/ this IF

1. they are really pants, and not just thick tights.
2. You're thin.
3. If you're not thin, your a$$ is covered.

I wear "leggings" as pants.
1. I go to the gym daily and I often stop somewhere before or after
2. I don't care what anyone thinks of me
3. There is NEVER a camel toe, I wouldn't leave the house like that
4. Do people really get upset about what other people wear? Just do what i do, laugh at them and snatch a pic
(yeah, that was on purpose )

My rule of thumb is if I can see your underwear then they are too sheer and should not be worn as pants. If you are in a tunic where everything is covered, they are fine. If you are in a cropped or short shirt, you need a skirt. To me it is all about how sheer vs opaque they are. If they are thick like yoga pants then go for it, but if they are sheer and look like tights or pantyhose then they are not pants.

I'm sorry but I'm on the "leggings aren't pants" team. If you wear them with anything other than a tunic/long sweater OR if you're not at the gym, I will point and laugh.

I think there may be a semantics issue around this topic/debate.
I think of leggings as thick, definitely not see through. I wouldn't wear them with a dress.

I think these see through things that everyone talks about as not appropriate as pants are actually footless tights .
Something more along the lines of what I'd wear with a sweater dress or any dress in fall or winter.

Theses are the thoughts that run through my brain at 11 pm on a Friday night. Yes, I need a life!

I definitely notice this trend a lot more because of LIF.



I'm generally of the thought that they are not pants, however.

And I also do not think they are appropriate for certain environments, like the office.

I worked with someone once who would wear those to work with hooker heels and the 80's off the shoulder tops.

Definitely NOT appropriate work attire.

I also have seen women who are like 200+lbs with the see through ones on and their ass not covered.

It's hard not to be judgmental of scenes like this.

If you are running errands or hanging out on the weekend, I think it's more of a forgivable trend.

And I know there are some fields where you can pretty much rock whatever you want.

Some people are clueless though, and they are generally the ones who should NOT be rocking the look.

I'm usually in scrubs yesterday was the first time I wore normal clothes in months What's wore than leggings u ask? Tramp stamp tattoos clearly visible through sheer dress shirts. Ooooooffffff.

I wear leggings as pants. Sometimes I have a sweater that grazes the bottom of my butt, so its not all the way covered. And I don't care. I have a nice butt. I think the issue is when people have a bigger butt and try to stretch small pants over it, thus making them see-through.

This is a common occurrence at my job, lol.

I wear yoga pants all the time on weekends/after work. You can't see through them, they are comfortable and I truly do not give a shit if anyone cares lol

Personally I would never wear leggings as pants and I am a thin girl , in good shape. I don't care how thick they are. I just don't think it looks good and it's just not classy. A top HAS to cover my butt and crotch area. Doesn't have to be too long, but just enough . I do think that most people don't have a problem with leggings as pants but with leggings that are not thick enough and your underwear shows. I just don't understand how anyone thinks that is acceptable and looks good.
There is a mom at DD's school who wears leggings that are really see through and it is so gross. You can see her butt and crotch area AND her underwear, sometimes she has a thong on and it's just not a pretty picture, even though she has a great body.

I also don't think pajama pants are ok outside in public and neither are yoga pants or sweat pants unless I am going to a gym or a quick run to a nearby grocery store or school drop off early in the morning. But again that's just me. I do not care what anyone else wears. Not my business.
