My child just came back from FL and said how wonderful and freeing it is to go into a store without having to wear a mask.

NY is being controlled by a power hungry lunatic and people are leaving in droves.

If you are afraid I suggest you step away from the fear mongering media.

People will get this virus just like every other virus. We have stopped life and destroyed lives and the media is feeding into all of this as it gives them something to talk about and have control over their audience.

The amount of stupidity and right wing brainwashing that flows from you is epic. You don't have an actual clue. About anything.

Instead of attacking people that feel differently than yourself, how about either scrolling along or have something to debate or add to the conversation.

But if you want to know where, go to some youth sports, some bar, there are places where they just don’t care. We haven’t worn masks at the soccer fields since this summer....no outbreaks

But I'm not talking about outdoor areas, we never wore masks at any point during my son's soccer season. I'm talking retail indoor stores. So it's funny you mention no masks in NY.
I personally have not seen it, anywhere I go, everyone is complying- stores, restaurants, etc
However, my boss called me the other day to tell me that he went to his car dealer to bring his car for service (he lives north of Westchester- not sure exactly where but maybe Rockland?) and he walked in and couldn't put his finger on it at first but something was different. Turns out- none of the staff had masks on. The girls who took your info and keys, the mechanics, the salesmen- the whole dealership staff was unmasked.
And the funny thing was it has been so long since seeing people with no mask that at first he wasn't even sure what was going on- something is different what is it? LOL
I said to him that they are going to end up getting reported. He said yeah, he wasn't sure, he didn't ask but it seems they decided as a company to stop.
Again, not sure what the penalty will be because surely someone will report them for it.
But I found that crazy.
Then he said he was in a large Irish bar- in Bronxville- and everyone was complying until around 3:30 pm when a group of construction workers walked in- unmasked. It wasn't long he said until the bartenders and waiters removed their masks as well and the place packed out so it was shoulder to shoulder at the bar- no masks.
Again, I am sure they will get reported and in their case, the lose of a liquor licenses is your whole livelihood so not sure what they were thinking.

Anyway, it's a beautiful day outside ladies- go enjoy it!

It's been said on more than one occasion that once the majority of the population is vaccinated masks and social distancing will no longer be necessary. Since there is no way to know how many will get their vaccine and when, no masks and no social distancing for ALL could be as early as the end of this year or maybe not until next year. Who knows. They can't give anyone a drop dead date right now. Once enough people are vaccinated, restrictions will go away. We've known that all along, not sure what you're concerned about.

If you've already been vaccinated, RIGHT NOW you can be indoors with other vaccinated people without masks and you can visit unvaccinated people in their homes unmasked as well. Since stores, restaurants, etc don't know if you've been vaccinated you'll have to continue to wear a mask in public until restrictions are lifted for all. Again, that's coming but will take a little more time.

As for the rest of your comment, it doesn't "go beyond rules". Some people are just intolerable a$$holes and don't give a crap about others. Everyone wants what they want right this second but a large majority don't want to do a thing to help the situation and haven't been interested in cooperating from the get go. I don't really care that Dr. Fauci isn't a psychic and can't give us a date for mask wearing. The masks don't bother me...in the grand scheme of everything else we have had to sacrifice, whatever I'll mask up. I've also gone one whole year without even a stuffy nose which is unheard of for me.
The new cases in NY are starting to go down, so are hospitalizations. We have 40% of the state with at least one dose. The vaccine is absolutely doing what if was meant to do- prevent severe illness and death. With the variants spreading and the way B117 crippled Britain, we would absolutely have had that variant take off here if not for the aggressive vaccination campaign.
I don't really care who gets the vaccine. I also don't care if you never want to wear a mask again, although I think the masks are going to be around until next spring.
But please, people need to do some reading before spewing off nonsense. The favorite thing for people to say on here is "no proof the vaccine works". It works. You can find dozens of articles, now using real world data not just lab data, that talks of vaccine efficacy. If you think it's poison and will give you a 3rd head, fine. Believe whatever you want. But just because you are scared doesn't mean it doesn't work. There are plenty of things I don't necessarily agree with or believe in for MYSELF, but I acknowledge that they've been proven to he helpful, healthier, whatever.

That's so funny that he could not figure out what was different. lol It'll be weird to see people's faces again when the mandates are lifted, I've almost forgotten what it feels like to be out shopping without a mask and being able to smile at people. I'm not even going to lie, I detest masking up so I definitely cannot wait until that goes away.

But I found that crazy.
Then he said he was in a large Irish bar- in Bronxville- and everyone was complying until around 3:30 pm when a group of construction workers walked in- unmasked. It wasn't long he said until the bartenders and waiters removed their masks as well and the place packed out so it was shoulder to shoulder at the bar- no masks.
Again, I am sure they will get reported and in their case, the lose of a liquor licenses is your whole livelihood so not sure what they were thinking.

Anyway, it's a beautiful day outside ladies- go enjoy it!

You attacked me that I was lying and was all nicey nice to Nell when she said the same thing, actually her story is WORSE as an entire dealership and bar had no masks on. I spoke of random people going into places that everyone else was masked and were not said a word to.
Heck my hairdresser said she forgot her mask at a drug store the other day and was shocked she was walking all around because she could breath. She was mortified when she figured out why and she said not one customer or employee said a word to her. Now THAT is someone I know and believe as she does as she is told no matter how much she hates it.
