And now Pfizer says a 3rd dose may be needed at the 6 month mark. Good luck policing who is fully vaccinated.
You are missing context. That would be to account for the variants. A "tweaked" shot so to speak.
Pfizer has said they expect a COVID vaccine will be an annual shot as viruses mutate over time.
As for ensuring people are fully vaccinated, what is your concern? Why would someone need to be "policed"? Anyone who wants the vaccine certainly wants to be FULLY vaccinated. Why would anyone half a$$ it?
THIRD SHOT
I mean policing as in making sure all these colleges requiring are going to make sure each student and staff member has all 3 shots. Or do they need them prior to September? Can they get just 2? What about venues, I lost my card so I have no proof. It goes on and on.
And based on my in-laws reaction to the second shot, no way are they going to subject themselves to a third. I doubt they would do it annually.
Just go on news12 on fb and you will see many saying the same thing. They were so sick they won’t do it again as they might say 6-12 months but change their mind in 3 months.
However, MILLIONS would tell you that getting sick for a day or two after a vaccine was worth it especially if it means getting back to normal. A handful of people here and there that wouldn't want the vaccine again will be statistically insignificant.
After you get it, come back and let us know how bad it was compared to the Covid you had and if you would take it more then once at the rate of feeling like you were dying.
Most of my family and friends are now vaccinated. They had flu like symptoms for 24 hrs and then they were fine. Some had no reaction at all. The instances you're speaking to are the extreme, not the norm for reactions.
As for myself, I never want to go through the stress of COVID again without having some level of protection, I'll shoulder the risk of feeling like crap for a day or two in order to be vaccinated.
Go on some pages on fb regarding the vaccines and you will see how many people speak about the extreme which seems to be more normal than you think. I did suggest the News12 site that I posted a link to earlier.
You cannot judge anything about rates of extreme reactions from social media. It's anecdotal.
Someone with an "extreme" experience is going to be more likely to be vocal about it which will skew the numbers.
Even the busiest FB page is going to have a fraction of the people who got the shot commenting.
None of that chatter matters in terms of drawing conclusions.
Actually I have seen all different cases but many had bad symptoms which I don’t think is abnormal.

Yes!!!!!
Over 70 million have been vaccinated, even if a few thousand say they had the worst reaction ever and won't take it again that amount of people is completely insignificant. If millions say the same, which isn't the case, that's another story.

I am the only person I know that had both and would prefer covid to the vaccine so I do think it’s clearly the minority. The only way people will stop wanting to be vaccinated is if information comes out about severe side effects that we don’t know about.

I saw first hand my mother in law in bed thinking she was going to die from the vaccine. I spoke personally to my friend in her late 30’s who was out of work for 3 days because she was so sick. How is anyone ok with taking an experimental vaccine that can make you this sick?! And then ask them to take it a third time???

I got VERY ill right after getting the flu shot when I was pregnant with my son. My friend had a vaccine-related injury from the vaccine that Hofstra required her to get to live in their dorms. Vaccine reactions are not abnormal. We just don't don't hear about them as much because people aren't blowing up social media about them.

Mandatory vaccine spin off
If you don't want the vaccine, don't take it. Story over. Why does anyone care why so many people are ok with it? If they grow 15 heads and start to quack like a duck, that's on them and has nothing to do with you. If anything, it's helping those who don't want the vaccine, because the more of us that are, the more life goes back to normal. As for the hysteria about vaccine proof being required places...it is currently not required for one single thing. Someone mentioned cruises but there are about a trillion other ways to vacation. I don't think I will ever step foot on a cruise again, even though I'm vaccinated. People are obsessed with their rights. Nobody is infringing on your rights. In order for that to happen, you would have to be held down and have the vaccine forcibly placed in your arm. You would need to be told you can't leave your home, your children can't go to school, and you can't go grocery shopping or get medications or go to the doctor. The ONLY thing I have read as being a possibility is vaccination needed for international travel and on certain airlines. So, choose a different airline and keep your vacations to US destinations. International travel isn't a right, most people can't afford to travel internationally and never leave the US, and they are just fine.

They ARE actually blowing it up but some people want to hide their heads and not believe it for some reason. I have seen to from friends and family and strangers on many sites on social media.

Just because YOU are not interested in doing certain things and going certain places doesn’t mean others want to and have dreams to. I think you are missing the point of not just freedom but being forced to doing something you don’t want to that should be a choice. Yes right now there are not many things that require the vaccine but if you really think there won’t be many things that require it to increase the control of Americans than you have your head in the sand.

Mandatory vaccine spin off
Certain vaccines have always been required to go abroad. People act like this is something new. You have the choice. Just because you don't think this virus is that serious and you don't believe the vaccine works (even though it's proven to), and you don't believe that this whole world isn't about you and your desires, doesn't mean you are correct. With that, I am off to put my children on the bus and go to work. I don't why I spend so much time on here arguing with a stranger lol

You can read just here on this board the amount of people who talk about how sick they were or friends or family they know.
You want this vaccine SO badly to get you back to normal that you won’t believe that it could be bad for you.
No matter what the number of people are getting sick or having severe side effects, they are humans and should be accounted for and not just a number.
All illness and side effects should worry everyone.

Over 70 million have been vaccinated, even if a few thousand say they had the worst reaction ever and won't take it again that amount of people is completely insignificant. If millions say the same, which isn't the case, that's another story.
Are you actually this dense or is this just a game you like to play in order to have constant attention on this board?
First, what are you even talking about regarding people not being "accounted for".? That comment is literally meaningless. Everyone who has taken the vaccine regardless of their reaction to it is being "accounted for".
Second, EVERY SINGLE medicine and vaccine on the market, even ones that have been around for ages, have side effects. Period. Are you actually walking around thinking otherwise????? You act like the COVID vaccine is some special circumstance but what you are absolutely failing to get through your head is that ALL medicine comes with risk of side effects. MOST are generally mild, some could be severe but that is ALWAYS the case when you choose to put anything into your body. There is no ZERO risk medicine, vaccination or medical procedure.
Lastly, I don't care if EVERY single registered person on LIF along with EVERY person they know complained about severe side effects from the vaccine because the FACT is that number of people is statistically insignificant when compared to the OVER 70 MILLION people who have received the vaccine. End of story. MOST of the OVER 70 MILLION people are experiencing mild side effects and are not having EXTREME issues.
A few anecdotal cases of people who got really sick isn't enough cases for anyone to stop giving a vaccine that is PROVEN to work. If at some point millions upon millions of those who get the vaccine are experiencing severe and life threatening side effects that will be an entirely different issue. But that is NOT the case, not even close.
Your relentless attempts to undermine a PROVEN vaccine at this point is laughable. Is there risk? Yes. Just like you have pointed out OVER and OVER again, there is risk in life with everything. While you are willing to risk being out in the world with no vaccination, MANY more are willing to risk the minimal side effects of taking a vaccine that will offer them protection and yes, a return to a more normal way of living.

Interesting you say this since we were told right here on this board that only a few cases caused blood clots for J&J but they seem to have halted production.

Certain vaccines have always been required to go abroad. People act like this is something new.
No one is denying that but the majority of tourist places have not.
Where?? I’ve traveled to a few different countries and have never been asked to provide vaccination records.

Mandatory vaccine spin off
I am sick of it all. Let's let people make their own decisions. Don't want the vax? Then dont get it. Afraid to go to a crowded sports even because u might get covid? Then don't go. I just dont think it's right to force the vaccine on people to be able to do things. Testing I could see maybe but that's still a hassle. Wash hands, wear masks, have hand sanitizer out, skip seats at concerts, whatever... I have just had it with all this nonsense

Re: Mandatory vaccine spin off
I'm still curious to see how everyone fared at the Texas Rangers full to capacity home opener that was supposed to be the catalyst for another wave of Covid.

Numbers are still down so I am thinking no spike has happened.

Wasnt the game only a week ago? I don’t follow sports closely but I thought it was just a week ago. I don’t think we would see the numbers yet.
Edit: monday, April 5 was the game?
Either way, cases are on the rise in 27 states.

Yes almost 2 weeks. TX have not spiked and how do you know if these people from other states that are on the rise were at that game? Seems that would be really reaching.

I meant in general cases are on rise due to variants, not suggesting from the game.

So they say. Not sure what to believe anymore and how true any of these numbers are.

Re: Mandatory vaccine spin off
My point was the outrage about the team allowing a full stadium was out of control. And everyone said the mask requirement was impossible to enforce and everyone would get Covid for even thinking of going and here we are 2 weeks later and crickets. There was a thread here where I pointed out that they were requiring masks at the Texas Ranger's game and someone was sure to point out how itt wouldn't be enforced. But it was. I have seen Yankee games as well and everyone in the stands has their masks on properly.
So the point is- it IS possible to open things and do things safely, even without requiring a vaccine and the sky will not fall.

The people that were there probably triple masked. That is the only way that there was no spike. They followed and didn’t follow the science at the same time!

Proven vaccine?! It’s not even a year.
It’s made by companies that have lost so many lawsuits. Right now, they have zero liability and can’t be sued. That scares some of us.
There’s countless things that have been proven safe and later determined dangerous.
