Re: missing malaysia airplane....
I don't think it landed safely. Unfortunately if it was a pilot suicide mission which I think is doubtful or a hijacking more likely I don't think the plane landed. I think the plane is sadly in the ocean somewhere. I just pray those on board were not aware of what was going on for 4-5 hours.

I'm convinced it landed safely somewhere and this is a hostage/terrorism situation.
I think this too! And if they are negotiating...that may be why we aren't being told anything/all the conflicting info. And if the plane did land intact somewhere, and the plan for it still unfolding, that would be why nobody has claimed responsibility for it.
I think the same and feel like whatever terrorist group is responsible for it hasn't "claimed" it yet because their still waiting to produce their "grand finale"...
Scary to think about it altogether! Whatever happened; my heart goes out to those passengers and their families.
Honestly, this is what I was thinking, too. I was wondering where you could potentially hide a jet for a few days/weeks until whatever you're planning came to fruition.

if you land somewhere very remote there is a really good chance you wont have a signal. Hell, half the time on 25A I cant send a text message.
I agree with your comment but sending texts while driving or even walking on 25a is pretty dangerous.

Roll your eyes all you want, but do to your aggressive nature, I figured you would be the driver and not one to sit in the passenger seat.

I couldn't agree more. I have been saying this from the beginning - and more and more evidence seems to be pointing in this direction. (at least thats what skimming cnn at work today told me lol)

Re: missing malaysia airplane....
I have a feeling, and this isn't based on anything I read, that the two with the stolen passports were not terrorists- they were both fairly young and the idea of people wanting out of Iran and having trouble using legal channels is not hard to believe.
I lean toward pilot suicide. Does anyone else remember the Egypt Air plane that the pilot crashed on purpose? I think it was in the late 90s.
Regardless I feel terribly for the families, to lose a loved one in a plane crash is awful enough but to not know where the hell they are must be torture. I hope we find out what happened so they can hopefully get some peace.

No worries, I have taken the absurd attempt at starting drama for no reason offline and to FM, no drama from me on this thread.

Re: missing malaysia airplane....
For me personally, I can't shake the feeling that plane landed safely somewhere. They said based on the flight path, they believe someone experienced took over the flight and the recorded several altitude changes once the transponder was turned off. Someone was operating that plane for hours after they lost it. If it was hijacked/pirated/pilot suicide why fly around for hours first and a known air route to one of the islands in the Indian Ocean? I also think the pilot is definitely involved. If there was a hijacking - commotion would have started outside of the cockpit first and would have been picked up, no?
I wonder if the people knew....how long was the flight? Do you think they were all on the plane unaware bc they were just supposed to be in the air?

. I think this too. We had an hour long conversation at work about this today and most are in agreement and feel like something is going to come out in the news in the next few days. They're mobilizing.

missing malaysia airplane....
I read something that suggested that they would need a mile landing strip to be able to land a plane of that size, and if they attempted to land on gravel or something that the plane would have broken into pieces.

You only see that pattern because I had an assumption about you. While I do enjoy nonsense, I actually like these boards and get some valuable information from them. I think most people on here enjoy some of the nonsense/drama posts but sit on their high horse and don't admit it. There is a reason those types of threads are the most read ones, we all love drama.

I feel this way too. There were quite a few individuals on this plane that were from a variety of tech positions and mid/high level tech positions too. I think that this was a coordinated effort by someone to acquire specific knowledge. I also think the pilots were involved as there would have been a commotion. I think this was a well orchestrated event. I don't think it was terrorism though.
