ETA: Just this past weekend I got DD fully on cow's milk during the day - just nursing AM & PM now. She gets 2 6oz bottles and usually downs them.

this is my goal-- to get her on milk during the day, but just nursing in the AM and PM.

I am gonna do a bottle this afternoon and see how it goes.

I guess I just gotta get her on the milk first.

Does it take some time for them to get use to milk??

Alex has never dislike ANYTHING.... She LOVES her sippy cup and drinks out of it all teh time.

Well this am I put 2 ozs in her cup, she took one taste and made a horrible face and flung the cup across the room. She won't drink the milk Chat Icon

DS did this too. He loved water in a sippy cup, but hated milk in it. He'd take a few sips and then spit it out. I had to warm it up and offer it in a bottle to get him to take more than a few sips. Eventually, he started to drink milk in a bottle without any issues. It took about a month before he really started drinking milk in a sippy cup.

I have the same problem Chat Icon Chloe stopped taking a bottle at around 5 months. I started her on a sippy with milk at around 11 months. I bf in the morning, she gets the sippy with milk at lunch around 1130 and I bf at 330 and at 7 before bed. she would only take a few sips at first and then throw it. Gradually over the past 5 weeks she will drink a little more, but not always, very inconsistent. she seems to like the playtex sippy the best. most days she drinks 1/2 sippy cup which is probably about 3 1/2 ounces.. I do still bf 3X though. I am going to try to just offer the sippy for the afternoon session and see how it goes... Chloe has gotten used to the taste of it, but I think she is just so used to bfing... good luck!

Well when I was BFing DD#1 I would BF her when she 1st woke up, before bed and sometimes depending on if we were home etc in the afternoons at nap time. She would get cows milk at meals. When I stopped BFing she then got all cows milk.
