Yup, will be a complete surprise and nobody but the two of us and our dog know
I think Emri is going to spill the beans
Hahaaha, he's been sworn to secrecy :P
I read this and just think of the commercial with the baked beans guy with the dog with the family recipe.

Very cute name!!!
We keep saying it could be a game time decision...cause we're so up in the air. One day we like one name...the next it's another name. Girl name problems!

If you are behind, so am I!! I am due August 18th and we don't have a name that we agree on yet.....since I have a DD and a DS, we will need to rearrange bedrooms so that DS can eventually share a room with his baby brother.....haven't touched the room yet! Since this is my third, there will be no registering but I do need to create a list of items that I need. I do best under pressure though! Hope you do too!

Re: *** Official August 2014 Thread ***
What car seat did everyone pick and what was the deciding factor in choosing that car seat? I registered for everything but keep changing my mind about the car seat. I originally wanted a light weight one bc I live in a condo and will have to carry it up from the car alone with at least one flight of stairs in our home. But then the man at buy but baby convinced me the light weight one doesn't have as much padding as the full size one. And giving me guilt about the safety. I was looking at both grecos but open to all different car seat brands.
Please help!

We registered for the Chicco Keyfit 30 - the reasons were: (1) It has a really high safety rating, (2) It felt pretty light weight, I dont think it's the lightest on the market but it works for us, (3) there was an adapter available for our stroller, (4) the colors we chose we thought were super cute.

We're kinda in the middle with getting things done.
Registry - not much done here. Furniture, stroller, glider and car seat are the only things on there. We had a difficult time deciding on color and theme of the nursery and were on a search for bedding options.
Nursery - we started painting last night...will get that done this week. Furniture is yet to be ordered, bedding will be registered for with the quilt being made by my mom.
Name - still working on this...it's a tough one for DH and I. But we did decide that we are going to keep the name a secret when we do decide on it.

We registered for the Britax B Safe. We went to BBB with 3 in mind (Britax, Chicco and Gracco). We already registered for a stroller (City Mini) and found that the Britax and Gracco were the only 2 that would work with the stroller. Britax has a small adapter that you can still collapse the stroller without removing it. Gracco's adapted is an "arm" which would need to be removed before collapsing it. So in the end we went with Britax.

This is my 2nd DS so not much to register for. We have the Graco Snugride 30 (I believe?) from DS, and we got it based on the safety rating and other info in the baby book. We have the whole system so we didn't need another stroller, and it has a large basket which is nice! DH has to get moving on the room. We need to move DS1 to the bigger room and update with a new themes DSs current room for DS2. No theme, name, or list for anything going yet! Honestly a lot comes together in the last 2 months so no need to stress yet

How's everyone doing?
Just did the 1-hour glucose test this morning at 24 weeks - I was imagining this completely gross cough syrupy and very sweet drink, but it ended up tasting like non-fizzy, less sweet orange soda. Not bad at all. Hopefully I pass!

Dreading the glucose test...but there's hope I guess.
We're doing good...23 weeks down!! Working on finishing up the painting in the nursery, adding to the registry little by little. All clothes that we have received so far is separated and in bins according to size.
Still working on the name...DH and I have pretty much decided that we're going to keep it a secret...when we actually do decide on a name.
Need to find new furniture...the one we had registered for is now discontinued

Re: *** Official August 2014 Thread ***
We added some to the registry...will go back to BBB and walk through with the personal shopper to explain some stuff to us.
Nursery needs the stripe on the second wall. First one looks great!
I think next on our list is to find new furniture though. This week we've been a bit distracted with other things going on but we'll get to that soon.
Found out that there should be no problem getting an epidural due to my back surgery! Woohoo!!

Physically feeling good...just getting antsy I guess you could say. Lots needs to be done and the time just seems to be going faster and faster.
Glucose test scheduled for May 19th, next dr appointment June 3rd. I believe that's the last appointment every 4 weeks...then we go down to 3 weeks...YIKES!!! And of course I just looked up and noticed:

I just realized 13 weeks to go for us also - for some reason seeing it like that just put me into panic/excitement mode! We haven't done anything with the nursery either - we're hoping to paint and start setting up this weekend and hopefully complete before the baby shower in early June.
L - you're under 100 days. YAYYY!!!

Feeling good. 25 weeks today! Hopefully will start to work on the nursery by the end of this month. We still need to paint and we probably won't get the furniture until after my shower because my mom wants to give it to us then.
I have a wedding on Saturday that I am in and go to pick up my dress on Thursday.
Glucose test on May 17th.

97 days left.....I was so excited to no longer be in the triple digits...lol
I go to the Dr tomorrow and Im guessing will get my glucose tests paperwork then.... what weeks is that usually scheduled for? Ill be 26 weeks on Sunday!
Im registered and am slowly seeing things disappearing (yay!)... Room is painted, furniture is in- but no décor has been done yet.... Baby girl already has a closet full of clothing thanks to my shopping addiction and gracious friends/family who have given me soooo many hand me downs! Im trying really hard to wash and put away as things come in- so Im not to swamped when its super hot and Im super uncomfy ;)

I had my glucose test at 24 weeks - and got the results a week later, passed! Woo! But I read it's usually scheduled 24-28 weeks.
We have a few days off next week, so we're planning on:
> Painting the nursery > Setting up the crib > Picking up the glider we ordered and putting it in the room
Tons of other things to do that I can't even remember.
27 weeks on Friday
