My dad said "it's a surprise whether you find out at 19 w or in the delivery room" -- I totally agree with him. Chat Icon

i'm glad to hear of someone else with my outlook! so many people have asked me if we're going to find out, then when i say yes, they give me this disapproving look and go on a rant of how it's the best surprise ever if you wait etc. while i am not disagreeing that it must be an amazing surprise or experience, i just know that for ME, i have to find out and it's not going to make my baby or delivery any less special. i can be surprised at my 20 week sono! totally agree with you both - it is the best surprise at the sono or in delivery room... DH and i cried when we found out it was a boy at 20 weeks. i felt such a bond knowing it was a boy and having that for 18 more weeks Chat Icon

stick with your decision and get used to the stupid comments people will give you in this journey

I agree with all of you. DH and I can't wait to find out if our LO is a boy or a girl at my 20 week sono! I wish people would just keep their negative comments regarding other people's pregnancy choices to themselves. If a couple wants to find out the gender that's their business!

We are team green as hard as it's going to be to not know!! I actually have encountered the opposite with comments, people can't seem to understand why I want to wait to find out! lol I guess no matter what your decision people will always put in their 2 cents!

Same here! I'm really indifferent about it but DH made a few comments that he's getting tired of calling the baby "it" and would like for "it" to be he or she. I'm going to leave it up to him if he wants to find out. I agree with the rest of you that it's a surprise no matter what....and if it's a girl I really want to deck her out in pink stuff, preferably with sparkles.

Can't wait to find out the genders of our twins! Hoping for one of each Chat Icon
Although we've already picked out two names for each gender that we love, so will be hard to decide top choice for each if we do get boy/girl Chat Icon

So exciting. So far we can't agree on any names, so the fact that you agree on more names than you need and you're having twins is quite impressive!! Chat Icon

I just had my 12 week sono! It was so so amazing!!! I was supposed to drink 24 oz of water an hour before the appointment so my bladder would be full but I didn't start drinking until a half hour before. When the tech first started she said my bladder wasn't full enough and I might have to come back. But she started poking around and luckily the baby was in the perfect position to be seen. We got to see it moving around and she got some good pictures. Even though I had seen other LIF ladies post about how much their LO was moving around, DH and I were still so amazed to see our baby kicking and jumping so much. It was such a great moment, DH and I are on cloud 9!

Glad to hear it all went so well!!!

I'm SO glad I don't have to have a full bladder for mine! I still have nightmares about sonos with a full bladder from back in my days with cysts (one time I threw up water all over the waiting room floor -- they finally gave up and just did an internal sono after that lol).

My 12 w sono is Monday!!!! I'm 12 w tomorrow, though. I look about 16-18 w pregnant though. No hiding this belly!

They didn't tell me anything about a full bladder, but, since I drink so much water I always seem to have a full bladder so it won't be an issue either way lol

I have the NT on Monday.....

with ds they were able to tell at it that he was a boy...... yet I just heard I have a different tech this time, so I'm not sure if they'll be able to tell.

The tech wasn't able to tell for us. She said that when its that early, she'll only say if she really feels sure. Good luck!

That is so cool!!!! I was only 11 w 4 d for DD at my NT u/s and there was absolutely NO WAY she could tell last time. At 19 w 4 d, her little hamburger was perfectly clear lol. Chat Icon

This time I'll be 12 w 2 d at the NT u/s (also on Monday for me!) and I'm SO EAGER to know if it's possible to tell!!!! Ahhh I don't think I could be more excited for the appointment!!! I've been waiting 5 weeks for this!!!!!!!

I see a little difference! What a cute little bump you're starting to form!!! You look great!!

I seriously look like I'm 18 weeks pregnant already lol. There's no hiding anything! Chat Icon It probably doesn't help that I still had a few lbs on me from DD (somewhere between 5 & 8 but it's like I started out behind the game).
