how are all my GD ladies doing? i will be 34wks tomorrow and it's getting harder to keep my numbers down. my dr told me he wants me under 120 after meals, not 140 anymore. i'm finding that meals that i used to do good with are no longer cutting it. i am headed to the diabetes center tomorrow, hopefully they'll have some ideas for me.

I have serious anxiety every few days because my  doesn't move as much as I think she should.
Since like 10 am, I've only felt MILD movement, like 3x. Even after a big meal (even though I've noticed with her, that doesn't seem to get her going). I ended up in L&D at 25 weeks because of the same thing, and everything was perfectly fine.
My last sono was Thursday last week and everything was perfect, and I even had a dr appt yesterday.
I just can't stand the anxiety it causes me ... and the not knowing if it's really something or nothing at all. 
I've been worrying about the same thing because I seem to have a pretty mellow baby too. She's pretty quiet all day and usually only moves around at night. I asked my OB and he said its perfectly normal but sometimes it still freaks me out. She usually wakes up and moves around when DH talks to my belly so sometimes if I haven't felt her move in a long while I ask DH to talk to her and hat usually gets her kicking. I've also noticed that whenever I rub lotion on my belly that usually wakes her up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. And as it would go, today she was totally active all day. It really has been a pattern with her that she's active all the time for days at a time and then seems to take a day or two "off" - and it freaks me out EVERY time! Oy ... 7 more weeks to go!

Mine is more active today too. For the past couple hrs she's been pushing into my ribs. She never done that before and it hurts!

NOT FRANK BREECH ANYMORE!!!!!!!! Someone has turned himself head down!!!!
I'm the happiest mamma in the world. 
We went back to the 3D sono place for a free second visit since they had trouble getting good pics last time and although our DS likes to cuddle his foot, he's now head down and in position!
We had the best time today and I feel like a thousand ton weight is off my back.
Baby's about 4 1/4 lbs -- she couldn't tell for sure since it's just for "fun" at the place, but she said everything looked great.

sandra, glad to see LO in position, such a cute pic
liveitup - i'm glad the hospital tour went well... i have lamaze class scheduled there on 9/23 and it includes a hospital tour. our are due 10 days apart - if you go a touch late and me a touch early, maybe i'll see ya there
i'm with you ladies about the movement. some days she's a nut and other days, barely a "peep" out of her. and it totally freaks me out. i love when she has her nutty days - definitely keeps me sane, and i find myself laughing out loud at her

With my first DC I swear, I think I must have called the doctor once a week because she wasn't moving as much as I thought she should be...I was so nervous. They used to always tell me to drink some OJ and lay down and see if that helped. This kid is a little more active, but movement is still way more noticeable at night when I am able to pay more attention to it.

My numbers have gotten better, but I'm still losing weight which makes me think i'm not eating enough on the GD plan....Overall in my pregnancy I'm up 2 lbs at 32 weeks, yet at the 30 1/2 week growth sono the baby already weighted 4lb 1 oz.....
My boss did tell me with GD sometimes you watch your food combinations.... she suggested adding walnuts in, I noticed I snack and don't count the walnuts and my numbers are better.

Same here with baby movement, some days she is very active (like I can see my belly actually moving now) and some days she is more quiet. The perinatologist had told me that my placenta is in the front so I would not feel her as much, which has actually helped me not worry too much. With 2 other kids its a lot different as I am running around so much too.
Baby is still breech (although I am hoping she turns!) so we have a scheduled c-section date of 10/12...50 days to go!!! :) Cannot wait to hold her in my arms and introduce her to her brother and sister :)

good way of putting it!! I feel ya.. woke at 3:00am and could fall back to sleep.. now at work and have to pick up my 2.5 year old after work... IM TIRED!!!

They changed your cuttoff? Why would they do that? I'm still controlling with diet and exercise at 33 weeks.

I had an exhausting two days - i have family over from Israel and we walked around EVERYWHERE with them. My feet were throbbing at the end of the night ... today i'm back at work and i'm actually relieved that i get to stay in the A/C and relax all day
I found out a few days ago that i wasn't signed up for Short Term Disability and so i won't be getting paid for maternity leave. It's really frustrating and i feel so poor now but i'm sure DH and I will be ok. And if not, i'll just come back earlier than expected (which will also be awful but what can i do).

Wow my cutoff is 120 and always has been! I tend to freak out when I have a reading in the 140's-150's but that usually only happens when I eat out and have an appetizer + a meal. But now I am wondering if maybe that is not even so bad? All I know is after this baby is born I am going to guzzle some juice…I miss lemonade, rasberry lemonade and cranberry juice!!!!
OK one more thing - I always have a carb snack at night (30g). Either nilla wafers or a skinny cow! My fasting numbers are usually good…95ish.

In a completely unexpected turn, every single family we invited is coming!!! I hope we have enough food for everyone and no one gets too bored!

Have fun!!! We had ours last week (we did the same kind of thing, just a relaxing coed BBQ) and it turned out to be a really nice day. It looks like you have perfect weather for it, enjoy!
And congrats in your baby not being breech any more! I actually just woke up wondering if my baby turned from a head down position back into a breech position. I used to feel her hiccups really low, but now I'm feeling them really high so I think she might have flipped back up during the night. I hope not!

wait a minute.... my carb snacks, after the meals are only allowed 15-20g....... my fasting numbers have been good with the icecream too.... Breyers has been best to me at 16g for 1/2 cup strawberry, I sometimes get in trouble with the eddies 20g slow churned if its a little over the 1/2 cup.

HI all - well Im an August mommy.
My little ladies, Kelsey Peyton and Riley Patricia, came early, on Tuesday Aug 21st. They were 32 weeks and 2 days. Kelsey weighed 4.2 lbs and Riley weighed 3.6 lbs.
I had gone in for a reg appt at my high risk doctor, and I have increased fluid in baby a. I had been dealing with twin to twin transfusion form 23-28 weeks or so, and then the fluid evened out on its own and we were ok. Not the case on Monday. I went to the hospital for another round of steroids and was admitted. It was the worst night ever. Baby a was all over the place and they had so much trouble tracking her heart on the monitor. Tues morning my doc scanned me again, and didnt like the fluid and how baby a was working so hard.
I had a c-section and lost 9 LITERS of fluid. It was the best decision to take the girls out. Kelsey (baby a) has been working to get rid of all the fluid for her first few days. She is doing well. She is more relaxed on oxygen in her nose, so they are just keeping that for her. She began eating on day 4. Riley (baby b) has been doing great as well. She has been breathing room air and began eating day 3. Kelsey is a few days behind Riley but both are making progress in the NICU. I was able to hold Riley twice in the last 5 days but havent gotten to hold Kelsey yet. Hopefully soon!
I came home yesterday and it kind of hit me last night I left them. They are in the best hands in the NICU and we pretty much live around the block from hospital.
Hope you all continue to have a wonderful and healthy pregnancy and I cant wait to hear about all the births!!!! I will keep you updated and post pics once my little ladies come off the lights for jaundice. xoxo
