***Official OCTOBER 2012 Mommy to be thread!!****
Had my 37 weeks appt today. Everything went well. Little lady is measuring around 6 1/2lbs. I opted not to get an internal this morning. I was just too uncomfortable already, so that was the last thing I wanted. I am also starting to lose tiny pieces of my mucus plug, so hopefully in the next week or 2 she will arrive.

I'm a month from my due date! I can't believe we're getting so close to having a daughter! I have my sonogram today and I'm hoping it goes well.
How's everyone feeling? Anyone else having a really hard time getting comfortable to sleep? I'm at the point where I wake up in pain from all the weight hanging off my belly! It's all worth it though!

Yay!!! Me too -- one month exactly!
I have the worst reflux/heartburn ever. I took a zantac before bed but it didn't work AT ALL and I've had 6 tums overnight (2 at a time) and I still feel like my chest is on fire and my insides are burning through me like a volcano ready to erupt. It's awful! I think I'm going to message my OB or the midwife and see what they suggest because I don't think I can survive another day or overnight like this!
But otherwise I'm doing pretty well! Sat down in the shower this morning and shaved my legs. Washed my hair too! (DD was upstairs in her crib still playing so I took a nice leisurely shower, which was a treat!) Gathering items for the hospital bag (just haven't actually packed them yet). My bro is flying in from NY as we speak and will be here soon and I'm extremely excited to spend a few days with him! My daughter even said his name this morning which was really neat! Hope she can repeat it for him when he gets here!
Happy one month from due date to you!!!

I feel the same about sleeping, or lack there of! it's so hard to get comfortable! i've also lost my ankles and can only wear flip flops these days because of how swollen the top of my feet get. not cute.

I'm going for another sono today due to GD and for my first NST. It's like a second job to have GD with the extra tests in addition to the weekly OB appt but my #'s have been great so I can't really complain. I'm attempting to pack my hospital bag and wash everything for the baby but I seem to get everything done very slowly.

Definitely getting uncomfortable here too, especially at night. Having some lower back pain and a lot of pelvic pressure that is making it difficult to walk at times. I'm just trying to remind myself how lucky I am to have made iit this far without any unpleasant side effects before!
Good luck at your sono today, LiveItUp!

Sleeping is no longer restful! The tossing and turning (oh so awkwardly) is so frustrating. I wake up tired, go through the day tired, and go to sleep tired. It's a never-ending cycle of TIRED!!!

If it weren't for the back pain I'd be fine. No heart burn, minimal swelling, overall sleeping well. I don't even have sciatica. I did off on and on and I think I favored it in my sleep. Now I have this constant mid to upper back pain. I got the OK for prenatal massage and to see a chiropractor. Seriously I'd be perfect if it weren't for this pain!!

So I had my 36 week sono today and there seems to be a good chance that my October baby will be a September baby. My little girl is breech and my amniotic fluid is very low. The doctor sent me home for tonight to rest and drink lots of water in the hopes that when I go back tomorrow morning my fluid levels will have risen. If not I'll have to deliver tomorrow and since she's breech it will have to be a csection. Pretty upset about that since I've been hoping for a natural birth, but the good news is that the baby looks to be in good health and is already a pretty healthy weight, 6lbs 10 oz based on the sono. Anyway, just felt like sharing. I'll try to post an update tomorrow. Wish me luck! I'm really hoping my fluids go up enough to be able to keep her in for at least a couple more weeks. I feel like month earlier than my due date just feels really early.

If she's well over 6 lbs at 36 weeks that's amazing and perfect!!! I was born at 35.5 weeks and was only 5 lbs 3.5 oz at birth. I hope everything goes ok today but it's wonderful your docs are taking such great care of you!!!! Hang in there mamma & good luck!!!

Re: ***Official OCTOBER 2012 Mommy to be thread!!****
Update: Thanks for all the positive thoughts and well wishes! So I went for my sono this morning and after resting and drinking water all night I was able to get my fluid levels to rise enough that the the doctor felt comfortable letting the baby stay in. They put me on a fetal monitor for a while too and said the baby's heartbeat and movement sound good. So I have to stay on bed rest and they will keep monitoring me to see if my fluid levels will continue to rise into what is considered the normal zone. They're not quite there yet, but jumped up a good amount from yesterday. Normal is between 8 and 20, and anything under 5 is considered bad. Yesterday I was at about 4.5, and today was at 6.5, so right now I'm in what the doctor considers the "gray zone" and hopefully by early next week I will have gotten into the normal zone. I asked the doctor if there's any chance the baby will flip out of the breech posiition if my fluid levels go up enough to give her more room to move around, but he said at this point it's around a 10% chance, but he'll try. So we'll see what happens, but now I know I have to mentally prepare my self for a c-section even though I've been wanting a natural birth. But as long as she's healthy that's all that matters. Even though she's a good weight, I"m glad she didn't have to be born today. I'm hoping to at least make it another week or so to give her lungs more time to develop.
So, now I'm just going to have to force myself to be lazy, which is really hard for me to do! DH is being great though and running around trying to stop me from lifting a finger. The doctor said the main goal is to try to stay off my feet to allow as much blood as possible to flow to the uterus, so that's what I'll do!
