No idea what  is wearing home. Nor do I have a hospital bag packed. And I need diapers! I have to get my act together.
Does anyone else feel like their belly cannot possibly stretch any further??
They'll send you home with some diapers and formula to last a couple days.

Yes!!!! I can't believe how big it is and i still am five weeks from my due date! I'm afraid to see what it looks like after delivery. I don't see how all this stretched out skin could ever snap back to how it used to be. Tonight DH and I were looking at a picture of me when I was around 20 weeks and recalling how we both though my belly was HUGE back then and couldn't imagine it getting any bigger and now it's like at least doubled if not tripled in size

-- finish packing hospital bag

-- buy the crib and other baby furniture and set up the baby's room
-- buy needed baby stuff (diapers, wipes, medicines, etc)
The only real "must do"s for me are the car seat, hospital bag, and buying baby stuff. The rest can (and probably will) wait till later

Yay, someone else who hasn't bought furniture! Maybe I'll see you at Behrs.
I just bought my diaperbag, diapers and wipes last night.
Took the infant car seat out of the box yesterday, but I realized it was made over a year ago, so I might exchange it for a newer one (don't want it to expire before I can use it for a couple more kiddos).

They give you tucks and dermoplast at the hospital so you don't have to bring that. They also gave me a small thing of lanolin, tons of pads, ice diapers, disposable panties, and colase while there. And by "gave" I mean charged out the wazoo every single thing to insurance.
You need to have infant acetametaphen at home. You can't use ibuprofen until they're 6 m old. You should have A&D ointment at home as well. It's the most useful thing for after every diaper change.
The hospital only sent me one with ONE baby diaper for DD. Don't assume they'll send you home with bags.

i just have to clean and organize the nursery now. DH put together the bassinet and wil install the car seat this weekend. we still need to pick up a bookshelf so we need the car space. hospital bag is almost ready to go! i cannot believe we are so close now!

Our nursery is 95% done, just need a few pcitures and stuff hung up. Bassinet cover, swing and car seat cover all need to be washed. Hospital bag not packed yet, but I have my pile on my dresser started.
Have my 37 weeks appt tomorrow. Wondering if they will check me again. If so I hope for more progress. Last week I was 50% effaced and 1 cm. And next friday is my last day of work, unless she decides to come earlier. (22 more days!!!!!!!)

1 day behind you girls! Too funny, at our hospital tour a nurse told me that more babies are born on 10/5 than any other day of the year!
Lots of little things to do here too. I feel like as soon as I can cross one thing off my list, I think of 3 more things to add!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk...
GD here, between this weekend & last two days I lost 4.5 lbs ( and actually am 1.5lb under starting weight)....nurse said it could be fine, but the dip stick then said I had alot of Keytones - Not good...... gotta go twice a week for sono and monitoring now.....
saw dr after work and got an internal(34w 5 day) didn't hurt, but came home and looks like I lose some mucus plug now.....might be looking at a september baby for my health issues.

HI ladies,
although im not an oct mommy b/c my little girls decided to show up in aug, i wanted to share some pics with you.
they came home on monday after 3 weeks in the hospital - they are doing well and eating well. so glad they both came home together. they weigh 4.7 lbs now! (kelsey was 4.2 and riley was 3.6) Image Attachment(s):

My c-section is scheduled for 1 month from today!  And, we just started construction on the nursery TODAY (gutting and redoing).  It will all get done, right?!

maryb - they look like cute little dolls! love them! glad to hear they're doing well and are finally home 
Baby has definitely dropped recently. I feel a lot more pressure down below and walking is more of a hassle (did i say walking? i probably meant waddling). DH (and everyone else) keeps saying that Baby will be here sooner than 4-5 weeks (i'm 35w4d today) ... part of me hopes its true because i'm soooo uncomfortable lately - the other part hopes it's not because i'm just not ready Oh well, not like it's up to me
