Re: **Official PP Weight Loss/Support Thread**
I've been pretty terrible lately when it comes to eating healthy, but it's definitely been on my mind, esp since this thread began - I am constantly inspired by your efforts! So despite the crap I put into my body today and yesterday and the day before that... I'm feeling more mentally prepared to actually get back on the wagon. I'm already signed up for WW online, but haven't logged points in quite some time - restarting tomorrow, and I even have some uber-healthy lentil soup going in the slow cooker overnight for dinner tomorrow. I did not choose breakfast and lunch healthfully at the cafeteria today, but I'm all over the egg white omelet and sizzling salad tomorrow, pinky swear. Thanks for helping me find my dieting mojo!

Can I join too? 1. Name: Amanda
2. Names and ages of your DCs: Anna 4 years James 4 months
3. How much do you want to lose? 10-12 lbs
4. Specific Challenges you face: Time! DD is in preschool M,W,F but its hard for me to get DS to nap long enough to exercise during that time. I have been shopping for a gym but am very picky with the babysitting. DH is gone from 5:30am til 9 or 10 pm so I am alone with the kids all the time. DS has a milk allergy and I am struggling with my diet. I have been doing ww online but the things that have really helped are greek yogurt and string cheese. Now that those are out its hard for me to find low fat high protein snacks. I am also carb intolerant so I have to really watch those.
5. Things you feel that you can help others with (ex. You are an avid runner, you EBF with a milk allergy): I just ran a 1/2 marathon at 4 months post c/section. I am not a runner so I am very proud of that.
6. Goals of yours (more specific than the number you want to lose): I did a lot of IF treatments for DS and was on exercise restrictions for my entire pg. I would do it all again in a second but now I want my body back! I want to be firm and HOT next summer. I want to rock my bikinis!
7. Anything else you might want to add: I have been on LIF for a while but mostly on the IF boards. With a new little one I am on more bc I have forgotten a lot of things. Also, I am EBFing and FF DD (she was in NICU and never latched). I am loving bfing but also need advice on DS' milk allergy and other baby issues that come up. I would love to meet up with some mommies and kids!!
Several of us are on a dairy-free diet (I've also had to eliminate soy & egg), so please ask us any questions you have!!!
ETA: one thing I eat every day is Ezekial bread. It's whole sprouted grains, no wheat, and 4 or 5g of protein per slice (70 calories). I eat it toasted with Earth's Balance dairy/soy free buttery spread and Trader Joe's rasberry fruit spread. Almost every morning for breakfast I eat 2 slices, and if I need an easy snack I will sometimes eat it with peanut butter (but I guess I have to stop because WAY too many calories in PB). It's an easy way to get protein in and I can have it on my diet! Do you eat eggs? That can be a quick high protein meal/snack for you.

Re: **Official PP Weight Loss/Support Thread**
I'm still visiting family in FL, so I haven't "officially" started anything yet. But I have lost the 2 lbs that I gained the week before my vacation, and an extra pound! I weigh myself every day so that's how I know (yeah, I'm a little nuts with that).
Once I get home I'm going to try to get into an exercise routine by walking every morning after we get up. I feel like my supply takes a huge hit if I don't eat enough calories, and it always seems like I don't have enough time in the day to eat really healthy. I end up eating HUGE amounts of food after DS goes to bed to get my calories in. Does anyone have any suggestions?
What does everyone's typical day look like as far as food?

Re: **Official PP Weight Loss/Support Thread**
YAY! I'm officially on the list!
The first week is DEFINITELY the hardest when it comes to dieting. Push through that and it's fairly smooth sailing from there.
I've been on my "diet" for 3 weeks now. I started out at 175 lbs. I weighed myself yesterday and I'm at 160 lbs!! I can't believe I'm already down 15 pounds! It's amazing what a difference it makes when you eat healthy!
Keep up the good work ladies!

Re: **Official PP Weight Loss/Support Thread**
Is it terrible that I don't weigh myself, instead I go by clothes. My jeans falling down today, they were a tighter size 14, so I guess I should be wearing 12 now.
Any tips for working out the baby belly? The rest of me is slowly melting, but that belly goes nowhere!

Re: **Official PP Weight Loss/Support Thread**
Name: Allison Ds is 19 months I want to lose 15lbs I work overnights and I don't get much sleep on certain days. I have no energy!! I used to be in good shape. Once I started working overnight, it all went down hill. I gained a bit of weight after having DS, and I'm so out of shape. I decided I had to do something about, even if I was tired.
This is my second week taking a Kickboxing/Total body shaping classes. It is 5 days a week, but I have only been able to go 4 days last week and 4 this week. It has been so busy. I cut out all bad food, but allow myself a treat or two on the weekend. I feel so much better!!It is so hard to get yourself motivated but if feels so good once you do.

Um, by "eating healthier" do you mean finishing the box of Munchkins Theresa left in my kitchen?
To answer, no, I am not counting calories. I am eating when I am hungry and trying to make good choices about what I eat (sometimes are better than others).

Trying to eat healthier. I often find that I won't eat enough so I just try to eat more of healthy things
