I would be honest and say that you weren't expecting to feel this way and you would like to have as much time with your DC as possible before gettting into the swing of work + baby.
You'll never get these days back so enjoy them while you are lucky enough to stay home!
ITA. I think honesty is best here. Plus I am sure that you are not the first to change their minds once being home with DC.

I would call and be honest. I would do it sooner then later...so its off your mind and you can enjoy your time and holidays without worrying about reactions.
I agree with this.
Also, it will give your job time to find someone to cover for those additional months if there isnt a temp already covering for you.
