1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

Followed mymonthlycycle.com

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

2 days before O, day of O and 2 days after O - twice a day each day.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I started taking pre-natals

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to do this!Chat Icon

my doctor told me to just have fun and bd 3-4 times a week after AF ends...so that's what we did. We had a blast and in our first month of really trying it worked

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
I am not sure since i wasn't testing ovulation...I tested with a digital b/c I can't handle looking for that line.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I didn't do anything really different other than BD alot! Chat Icon Chat Icon I have been taking prenatals since January.

No method. Since this was our 1st month, we just had fun with it.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

The week I knew I was fertile we BD 2 days on 1 day off for the week.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

I was POAS happy.

9dpo - neg
11dpo - neg
12dpo - positive

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

Started prentals about 2 weeks ago. That's about it.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

this is my second time posting here Chat Icon

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

I used OPKs last month, our first month TTC, but this month i did not. instead i checked CM and CP to confirm ovulation.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

i had a feeling i would O early so we BD on CD9, CD11 and CD12. i am almost positive that i O'd on CD13 but it could have been a day later.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

i tested at 10DPO, negative, and at 12DPO, i got the faintest of positives on a dollar tree test, so i tested with a digital (expecting a negative) and it was positive!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

i have CM issues (it tends to be thick and i really don't get EWCM) so this month i took mucinex three times a day every day from CD9 to CD14. i also took b-vitamin complex (100mg) to extend my LP.

let me add that i really, truly thought i was out this month. i had cramps in front and in my lower back and no other symptoms at all, except for burping at night Chat Icon

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

First month I tried just going by my cycle. -Turns out I was way off. Second month-the month we really started trying-I took my basal body temp and used an OPK.-And was successsful!

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

Since I was so off, we ended up BDing
only once on the day I ovulated-and it happened!

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
11 DPO =positive!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
I was taking prenatals beforehand. No drinking alcohol, no cigarettes. I also pretty much cut out caffeine by the time we conceived-it was hard, but little by little I did it. I also fed DH celeryChat Icon We also used pre-seed.
That's about it-good luck and lots ofChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

Nothing. This was only the second cycle off BCP, so we were waiting for my cycles to regulate.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

We BD whenever we felt like it.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

My cycles are wacky, so I have no idea when I O. I got my BFP on CD 51!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I started taking Centrum in Sept 08 when we were talking about TTC and DH just started taking a multi-vitamin this past month. I also cut back on alcohol and caffeine.

Good luck to everyone!!

What does Barilla plus, robitusson, baby aspring and preseed do? I'm new here and haven't heard of this before.

no idea about barilla... i believe baby aspiring prevents clotting which can help with implantation, and preseed is a sperm-friendly lubricant. "regular" lubes like K-Y are not sperm friendly, and can actually kill sperm or immobilize them.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

Charting my BBT and CM on FF. Started last cycle with oral temps, was getting awful results, so this cycle I switched to vaginal temps and got much much more stabile results!

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

This cycle we started every other day from CD 9 through til CD 19 and then everyday from CD 20-22. I ovulated on CD21.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

I tested thinking there was no way it would be +, but I got a BFP on 9 DPO. Tested again on 10 and 11 DPO. Still +!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I think we just timed everything really well. I was concerned over my lack of EWCM, I had wet CM though. Timing was everything for us I believe.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? This month I did nothing. I was using the Ovulation tests for a three months but they had stressed me out. So this month (4th) I didn't use the tests so i wasn't obsessing and was more relaxed..(i guess doing nothing helped) : 0

2. What was your BD schedule? Every other day until I saw EWCM- then i BD 4 days in a row and the day i thought i was ovulating I did both morning and night.

3. At how many dpo did you test?
11DPO- shadow of a line
12DPO- Faint line
13 DPO- Faint Line
14 & 15 DPO- line got darker and digitals confirmed

4. Anything else that might have contributed
I was taking multivitamins and 1000mg of folic acid. I also took baby aspirin. I tried to be more relaxed this month and didn't use the OPT. I think that helped b.c i was obsessing over the tests. I just went by my EWCM.

Goodluck to everyone!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?

I went by my CM and used the clearblue easy digital OPK (the one with the smiley)

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

CD10- start of ewcm
CD12-lots of ewcm
CD13- positive OPK
CD14-for good luck

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

i was a poas addict. i started testing at 6dpo and didn't get a faint bfp until 9 or 10dpo.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

i started taking prenatals and we always eat barilla plus but i dont know if either really had any influence.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

oh man - i finally get to fill one of these out. That makes me super happy. Hopefully it helps!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
I only used OPKs this past cycle - just the regular (not digital)

2. What was your BD schedule?
Only when I got a positive on the OPK. So we basically just BD'd on CD14 when I got the +

3. At how many dpo did you test?
I tested with the Walmart Equate brand line test on 10DPO and got a faint line. 11DPO I tested with that and a digital -- got a positive on the line test, but a negative on the digital. 12DPO I finally got my POSITIVE on the digital too

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Just prenatals, Fertile CM pills, and Preseed. I think the Preseed definitely helped though because I don't get a lot of CM

At what point and how often is it a good idea to take baby aspirin? How much of a dosage? I sometimes get large clots during AF so maybe I should be doing thus if this month is not my month. Chat Icon

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? Nothing. We wanted to see what happens. I also didn't want to get stressed out with OPT's.

2. What was your BD schedule? Every other day from CD9 to CD18. Sometimes everyday, depends on the mood. The weird think is that I didn't see EWCM at all this cycle. The last cycle, I saw EWCM and was certain it was my month but it wasn't.

3. At how many dpo did you test?
10 or 11DPO- a very faint line
12DPO- Faint line, BFN on digital
13 DPO- Faint Line
14 DPO- confirmed with a digital

4. Anything else that might have contributed
Nothing. I honestly didn't think this was our month. I was less motivated than the last month. I guess when you don't think about it, it happens. Chat Icon

ETA: I heard that having the big O when you BD helps because the CM produced will help the little guys swim. Well, I had the big O everytime we BD.

1. What method did you use to TTC?

Just monitored CM.

2. What was your BD schedule?

When we got our BFP I believe I "O" on Sunday 9/20. This was the last day of EWCM. We BD Thursday, Sunday, Monday. (It wasn't an ideal schedule but we were away with family for a wedding, and couldn't BD everyday. Apparently it worked)

3. At how many dpo did you test?

12 dpo 10:30pm faint line w/ FRER
13 dpo 6:00am even fainter line w/ FRER
14 dpo 1:00pm darker line w/ FRER
5:30pm BFP w/ digital
5:30pm darker line w/ FRER

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Rainbow lights pre-natals, Nordic Naturals DHA
