Sounds like bitterness to me.....

No bitterness. I just find it amazing. I watch Bringing Home Baby and shake my head when the parents freak out because their help is leaving them and they say "what do we do now".

Whaaaaaaa????

Not everyone knows what to do immediately after they have a baby!!

As PBS Kids says, they don't come with handbooks!!

I was so paranoid with my first. People can laugh and think we're nuts but my DH and I had shifts for the first two weeks my first child was born. DH would be up 8pm to 2am and I would be up from 2am to 7am constantly checking on DC to make sure he was alright and my mom would come over for a few hours early morning so I would get some sleep and that was pretty much the routine for the first two weeks. My second didn't have that kind of attention lol because I was much more relaxed and was able to sleep and not worry.

Re: SAHM who use Daycare

Am I the only one who doesn't give a flying whodilly what other people do with their kids? I mean, short of them abusing them in some way of course.
And it's not that I don't judge people, I do, but when it comes down to it, it's a passing judgement and then I just don't really give a rat's arse beyond that.
And I'll lay it on the line for anyone who wants to judge me because, again, I don't give a rat's arse. I just had a baby on Friday, guess who's helping me everyday because I can't do it all by myself? MY MOMChat Icon And yes, I EXPECTED IT!Chat Icon Chat Icon I also believe it takes a village to raise children and I'm ok with handing my kids over when need be.
Anyway, I think it's normal to judge, but honestly, when you start reading too much into what someone else does, there's clearly something wrong and it's not THEM, it's probably YOU. In the broadest sense of the words, of course

I think you do what you need to do. Daycare has many advantages & if someone isn't cut out to be a SAHM, then they shouldn't be (not saying this woman isn't as I don't know what she needs to do - as Beth said sick relative, etc).

As for what they do during the day, that's their & their DH's business, not mine.
