Summer slimdown food log...Join me if you like
I need to keep track to keep myself honest. I am not really a dieter...but I need to get my butt running and curb my eating a bit for a couple of weeks.
Please join me if you like!
Mon- April 7
am two slices toasted raisin bread with 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 cups cafe con leche
am snack 1 banana
lunch- out to Petrarca 1 thin crust pizza with fresh mozz, proscuitto and arugala. at 3/4's of it.
I cappuccino
1 milano cookie
dinner: roasted chicken breast, mixed green salad, corn, black beans, guacamole, 1 corn tortilla
1 cup irish breakfast tea with a bit of milk and one sugar
1 small piece hazelnut cinnamon ring.

9:30 - 10:00 cardio work out
10:30 Cafe Americano w/ Skim Milk
11:00 Fiber One Light Multigrain English Muffin and WW Creamcheese
1:00 Fage 0% Plain Yogurt with 10 crush almonds and a drixxle of Orange Blossom Honey
5:00 100 calorie pack
6:00 Alton Brown's Fried Chicken Recipe (I know I know but I promised DH before I got waay into the diet that I would make him fried Chix), Corn on the Cob, Oven Fries with Olive Oil & Sea Salt, Greek Salad

don't berate yourself! this is just a log. no diet mantra here! eat what you want to...just write it down.
you will be shocked at what I admit to eating as the days go by
anyhow...that is totally Good Eats

Breakfast - Homeade whole wheat, low fat/sugar lemon poppyseed muffin and a cup of chai tea with 1 teaspoon sugar
Morning snacks - Laughing cow cheese with rye crispbread 1/2 cup grapes Banana
Lunch - Salad with tuna, carrots and croutons with lowfat sherry shallot dressing
Afternoon snacks - Cottage cheese with rye crispbread Clementine
Dinner - I'm in the mood for Shakshuka with whole wheat pita and hummus

I'll partake in this..as I am a food logger also.
I have been doing the South Beach diet for 5 days now...
Bfast- 1 egg and 1 egg white with 2 slices turkey bacon, coffee with ff 1/2&1/2, glass of water with lemon.
Snack- 1 LF skim string cheese
Lunch- 1 slice leftover turkey meatloaf and S.beach 'mock' mashed potatoes (Mashed Cauliflower), bottle of water
Dinner- baked filet of sole and a cucumber and tomato salad
Snack- probably a 40 cal. SF-FF fudge pop

That is why I write things down. I find if I have to log it then chances are I won't eat it I'm soo looking forward to the chicken tonight.

I am on Day 9 of South Beach.
Breakfast: 1 cup FF cottage cheese with cinnamon & vanilla extract; 12 grape tomatoes
Snack: hard boiled egg & string cheese
Lunch: Salad with chicken & chick peas
Snack: 15 almonds
Dinner: swordfish steak, green beans, tomatoes & cucumbers
Dessert (later): No sugar added fudgesickle
Drinks throughout the day: 2 cups of green tea, 4 poland spring waters.

Lunch-Salad (lettuce, tomato, celery, carrots) with cut up ham and string cheese, balsalmic vinegar salad dressing. --------fruit cup
Snack-100 calorie Oreo Bites
Dinner-Cheeseburger, french fries (all made at home)
Snack-tea --------something else tonight for 2-3 pts.

Day 7 on South Beach
BFAST- 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese w/ cinnamon and 1 splenda, glass of water with lemon, coffee w/ ff 1/2 1/2
LUNCH-Chicken stir fry with veggies, water with lemon
SNACK- 2% String cheese
DINNER- 2 Small BBQ chicken breasts, mixed salad with oil and vinegar and feta.
SNACK- Coffee w/ FF 1/2 1/2 & 1/2 cup part skim ricotta w/ cocoa powder and 1 splenda.

last night I edited my post b/c I wasn't hungry so I changed my dinner plan. this is great, b/c I listened to my body instead of just eating a full meal b/c it was dinner time.

I'm on Week 3 of running regularly and have decided to join the food log so I can get my eating in check
Because I have plans to go out to lunch today, I was actually going to start tomorrow, but I decided that doing that would defeat the purpose of the food log
Wednesday 4/9
Breakfast: Small bagel with small amount of cream cheese; tea
Lunch: Asian salad w/grilled chicken in wrap; chips and salsa; diet coke
Dinner: Grilled chicken sandwich, handful of fries, seltzer
Snack: 2 cookies
30 minutes run/walk

Lunch: 1/2 roll with fresh mozz, tomato, sun-dried tomatoe pesto; chips, diet soda
Walked 1 mile (1/2 mile to lunch and 1/2 mile back)
Snack: Mini Cadbury egg
Dinner: 1 slice of chicken pizza
Snack: Ice cream sandwich
Exercise: 25 min walk/run
