What no one will tell you about pregnancy/birth
I was talking about this with other preggers the other day, what did you find out the hard way that no one would tell you? or that you found out and had no clue before getting pregnant?
I found out today exactly how bad the bleeding will be after the birth and I have to admit I am scared out of my mind.

I tried to tell my friend that pregnant women can NEVER go commando and she insisted I was exaggerating, I thought it would be more fun to let her figure it out herself so I didn't go into detail lol!

Yeah, the hemorrhoids are definitely bad. But the spinal headache I had from the epidural was the WORST

That having babies can actually break your junk. Nothing outpatient surgery can't fix, but still a shocker.

Re: What no one will tell you about pregnancy/birth
Def the bleeding - mine didn't last long and I knew it would happen even though I had a c/s but it was very bad at the beginning. I also passed a huge clot and that scared me out of my mind.
But no one told me the worst part of the whole birth process would be having to poop afterwards!!! For two weeks I was in agony trying to go.

How tired you feel.
How sick you get.....and for how long.
How hard it is to pee after giving birth, forget about #2.
How your body really is never the same, even though every celeb seems to pull it off.

Yeah, I second the bleeding thing, and for the length of time you bleed for. Not nice. But, it does end soon enough!!! Six or eight weeks later, it all stops!!!

Re: What no one will tell you about pregnancy/birth
That after you have DC you leak a little pee everytime you go to the bathroom. I learned with DS to pee, wipe, stand up just a little to let the rest trickle out, and then wipe again. That gem is about to come in handy again.

Re: What no one will tell you about pregnancy/birth
See for me the Episiotomy wasn't the terrible part. THe terrible part was the puking through the whole labor and afterward I could barely hold DS because everytime I would take him I would have to practically throw him at someone else so I could vomit. Also I started to Hemorrage (SP?) and they gave me a clotting agent that gave me MASS diarrhea. I barely made it to the bathroom and cried hysterically while holding onto a nurse. (DH bought her something very pretty as a thank you).

And for me this was worse than delivering the baby b/c by this time the epi had warn off more and the dr was literally way up there massaging my uterus! Ouch!!!

Yes! I had a c-section and it took me almost 6 hours to pee normally after they took it out. I was so scared there was something wrong with me
Other than that, I felt like I was pretty prepared. I did a lot of lurking while TTC

Re: What no one will tell you about pregnancy/birth
That after you hit the 20 week mark you have to pee more often but less comes out!
That going # 2 will be the scariest thing you ever have to do after having the baby
Stretch marks never really go away

Re: What no one will tell you about pregnancy/birth
That I would throw up MANY TIMES during labor....
The night sweats after giving birth were INSANE.
Oh and thart your hair falls out around 4 months PP and doesnt stop for MONTHS.
That I would HATE bring away from her for ANY amount of time. I couldnt believe how much I loved her....
The rest, I pretty much knew.
