gosh, Parker is over 2 now, and I still worry, I check on him often, and nights i think i dont need to check on him, I get back up and check him because then I think that would be the night something will happen. I have realized I will never relax again, LOL....

I believe, statistically speaking, the risk greatly decreases after 1 year old.

Nina slept with a blanket and a pillow from about 11 months (this is actually when she used to sleep on her own and not with us). I worried but I also believe that SIDS has a lot more to do with just a blanket or a pillow or bumpers.

Around 16 months I really stopped thinking about SIDS.

I just saw a guy on Oprah a few weeks ago whose daughter 17 month old daughter had died of SIDS. I was shocked! Until then, I really didn't think it was an issue after 6-8 months.
