As soon as my comforter and blankets on the bed do not keep me warm all night long. Chat Icon Usually it is not until November though.

I was thinking the same thing, but it is cold getting out of bed in the AM. DH came home from work last night around 3 and even commented on how cold it was. He'll put it on now if I wanted, but I'm the cheap one!! Trying to hold out until at least mid-month. Haven't really checked the temp in the house b/c I don't want to know!

I turn it on when I am cold! It's programmed anyway, so it would have to get cold enough to the set temp to go on... So it went on sometime at the end of last week, and really only started blowing heat (we have forced air heat) maybe once or twice because it was cold enough to make it go on.

Now, not until Nov. I am always hot anyway. When the baby is born, it will be different, though.

when I see Penguins in the living room

(CNN) -- Flying penguins are unusual. Especially when they fly on a C-130 Hercules military plane.
Almost 400 lost Magellanic penguins march back to the sea after being rescued by animal-welfare groups.

In Brazil, 373 young Magellanic penguins were rescued, rehabilitated and released last weekend after their search for food left them stranded, hundreds of miles from their usual feeding grounds.

Animal-welfare activists loaded the birds onto a Brazilian air force cargo plane and flew them 1,550 miles to the country's southern coast, where a crowd of onlookers celebrated as the penguins marched back into the sea.

Re: When do you turn the heat on in your house??

I rarely turn it on unless I am freezing and can't warm up

we have electric heat - we are the middle unit on the second floor- so we get lucky that we are insulated
