just to throw out there...

smart does NOT equal money.

My DH started Harvard when he was 16 years old.

He is now broker than broke...No matter how smart you are, life circumstances can effect your finances dramatically.

His cousins, on the other hand, are dumber than a door, but they have A LOT of money to spare...

And, to answer the question: if people cannot afford to take care of a child AT ALL (as in, they don't have a home to live in) then NO, they should not have children.

No not an attack, but judging me...you clearly said that means not ready for a child...Thats silly to me..you may not have understood my point when I said what I did. I was trying to explain how Im not as "poor" as I made it seem, because I buy frivolous things that I would never ever consider important once I had a child/children.

Where I was going with it was showing how much I do have, and explaining why things I had besides EXTRA money to offer a baby.
