I know you are really upset, and I am sure I would be too. But life is too short...... I would just get the car fixed and try to forget about it. I know - easier said than done!
I agree- and I understand it's just a car
but laws were broken - and I want them held responsible
at this point it's more the principle of the issue

I dont think someone taking your car for a joy ride and blowing your transmission is covered under warranty. These guys were probably beating on the car. They must have done some job on it to blow a Saleen engine.
it's nearly impossible- unless you don't know what you are doing- and try to smoke the tires with the traction control on about 20 times
which is most likely what they did- that will over heat the engine
I know, that's why I am saying they probably beat the pi$$ out of it.

Also if they are after market parts are you sure they will be covered under warantee?

the destroyed it- jake shifted into 4th and got reverse
the deserve for Jake to beat them the way they beat his car
they are very lucky that he hasn't- he is really making me proud of him

she wouldn't wait for the police and told Jake she isn't turning over the tapes
she is trying to say jake come down with another key and took the car out
the police questioned a few people- and they all said they aren't saying anything
could they look more guilty????
the police are coming back for the tapes in the morning
I am sure they have insurance- who is she protecting-
but now the building manager is invloved- even thought she said she wouldn't be- and she is going to tell the garage lady she has to turn over the tapes- and she is really mad

I'd think she'd want the culprit fired- she isn't the one who did anything wrong. She's stupid to protect them.

Where was the car towed from? I ask because if they blew the tranny, they wouldnt have been able to get back from where they drove it.

the car blew when Jake was driving it the next day
if it blew with them driving it- this wouldn't be an issue- they would be in jail already- I wish that happened!

Actually you are right. In thinking about it some more though, she is probably being told by her employer not to release them. I doubt she made the decision not to cooperate on her own.

Who gives a hoot if she made the decision or not. She should be ethical enough to disagree with her management and/or explain her situation if she can not hand them over due to instructions from her management.

wow! I cant believe this thread is still going on...I dont even think I put this thought into my own wedding....
like everyone said above, we know your upset & so srry to hear about this horrible situation, but whether you go on & on about it or just do what you have to do to get it fixed,its going to be the same outcome!
Life really IS too short to be so angry....and believe me I feel your pain bc like I had mentioned in an above post,I went thru a very similar situation good luck!

first of all I am so sorry. I know its only a car but the fact that someone violated your personal property and damaged it, he!! I would be pizzed...
i know you didnt want opinions about the letter... but fyi dont any any other extra info that can be twisted...... by ANYONE..... they will take any loophole and try to do that......

This thread should still be going on...we are all looking for updates and we are here to listen to Beth and to try and help her out if we can. I for one, would be VERY pizzed if this happened to me, and I would not "just drop it". Beth is entitled to be furious, and I would fight until the day you get the justice your deserve!!!!!!

I feel bad for you. I remember when I got my 1993 cobra mustang. I was just out of high school. I was so anal about the car. I wouldn't let anybody near it. When I was pulling in a gas station to fill up. A woman came out of nowhere and hit my car. It was totaled. I had the car for three months. I wanted to kill her. I hope everything works out for you and Jake.

this thread is still going on because I just saw it and I am friendly with Beth and decided to respond which BUMPED it..
this is a place to VENT- whether it be a serious life altering event or an everyday problem......
