Ugh failed my 1 hr :( Dr said my numbers should be 130 and I was 157! Oh ANDDDDDD I have a UTI- although I feel fine go figure. I'm so bummed 
Infectionsscrew with your blood sugar. Is there anyway you can take the 3 hour after your UTI goes away?

I took my 3 hour... it was so painful!
I'll find out the results tomorrow I guess.
My shower is coming up so soon! Then I'll get to go shopping and start setting up all of the baby stuff. I'm getting excited for that.
Still working on getting the house ready. Home improvements and moving furniture is the worst.
Took the hospital tour. Can't believe I have less than 12 weeks to go!! Still seems so far away at the same time...

We finally got our carpets cleaned this morning. and this weekend is our shower. so we will be super busy with baby stuff this weekend. DH's family is coming, so they can help move furniture and doing some of the home improvements hopefully. glad to be making some progress finally. I feel like time is running out!!!

We picked Banjamin Moores Northern Air.. we got the nursery painted and it makes it so real! Our shower is the 16th and furniture coming the 23rd!!

yeay for progress! Might be a stupid question, but can you paint while pregnant? Our basement is almost finished being renovated so finally we can move furniture we have in the current baby's room down there, and get started on painting the nursery. I just didn't know if it was a no-no, although i'd like to help!

I adore that color!!! It is similar to the color of my bedroom growing up.

I wouldn't. I think the fumes are bad for you and the baby. They tell pregnant people to stay away. My apartment got painted and I was asked to leave. I came back too early, (the smell lasts a long time, and I came back 30 minutes after they finished). Even with central air/fans blowing/windows open and staying in the room that wasn't painted... the smell was very strong and I didn't fell very well. So I would try to avoid it if you can.

my hubby made sure i went out while the room was painted.. we had our bathroom painted at the same time.. it was a pretty string smell i wouldnt be aorund that long

As long as you're doing it in a well ventilated place you can even paint it yourself.
ETA: I helped paint my baby's nursery and even stained the closet doors.

so monday i had my growth sono. shes doing great. measuring 3lbs 2oz. they said she could be here between aug 14th-20th
today was my first "see the doc every 2weeks appt" since i have gd i needed to be hooked up to a machine for 20mins to check her hr and to check if im having contractions. all went well with that.
my doc was a little shocked that the people at madonna asked me to come back in a month for a sono. but the nurse told him i have cigna and they are pain with sonos. he said he would do them at the office if he had to because its very important to check her growth because of the gd.
oh and im down 2lbs from 2weeks ago. looks like this gd diet is making me lose weight. doc said it was more than fine.
going to see the nutrtionist on friday to go over this diet. i feel i need more veggies and i soooooooooo need more food for breakfast. we shall see

so pretty funny story, i went to a psychic dinner last night, the psychic told me she saw an early september delivery.. I really hope thats not the case!! (I'm due 8/20) Besides I don't think most OBs will let you go more than a week without induction, right?
Anyway renovations in the house are getting a little closer to complete. Afterwards I have to CLEAN (which im not looking forward to- there is dust from new drywall everywhere, all over the floors) and set up the baby's room...
Next appt is next week @ 30 weeks, I wonder when growth sonos will start!
How is everyone else doing?

I am doing OK. I have to take my GD classes next week. My first growth sono and first "every 2 weeks" doctor's appointments start the day summer begins- June 20th. I'll be 31 weeks at that point and I am soooo excited to see DD again and get an idea of how she is growing.
Tasks are still going slowly though. I am working on writing thank yous for all of the gifts we received during the shower and I would like to start shopping for everything we still do not have as soon as possible. We still have a ton of things to do on the house. I am a little stressed that everything will not get done right now.
I can't believe I have about 10 weeks left. I am so not ready at this point and that sounds quick to me. DH keeps saying but that is ALL SUMMER we have plenty of time. So I am hoping he is right!!

I can't wait for my growth sono! I saw my dr on Monday night and she said when I come back in 2 weeks we will schedule my growth sono (I have to go to LIJ for sonos). I have been measuring kind of large the past few visits to the dr. I'm 30 weeks and I measure at 32 weeks. My dr is not concerned though because I'm petite and am carrying all in the front. I'll be excited to see my  again since I haven't seen Poppy (our in utero name) since my 20 week!
Tonight we're taking a prep for childbirth class at LIJ (it's the first of 3 sessions). I hope it's more informative than scary. Anyone else feeling the anticipation creeping up about the delivery?
I, too, have a lot to do, but it will all get done. It always does.

I can't believe how quickly time is flying by! Week 30 is almost here! I have to say I feel really good! Passed my glucose test and all the other blood work looks great. Even tough I feel huge, I'm getting a lot of compliments about my "glow", my hair and a few people mentioned the other day that other than my bump I look like I've lost weight... even though I haven't weighed myself, I'll take that  We're team but I've been stocking up on some adorable girl layette...I have more than enough of everything I need if its a boy so I'm having fun with the girl stuff...if its a boy, I'll just pass on the clothes or give as gifts...I'm also beginning to nest, so every weekend I take on a project or organizing, cleaning out, painting, remodeling, etc...having fun while I can. My son is getting very excited for the baby and can't wait for it to be here so that he can finally be a big brother. He keeps making plans of "when the baby is here we'll do this and that" and its just so adorable.
I hope everyone else is feeling good and having a smooth pregnancy!

Is anyone taking any classes offered at their doctor's office or through the hospital? There are a ton offered through mine but only one or two I'm really interested in like infant CPR.

I took infant CPR. I also took a free BF class at a different hospital, and also signed up for a baby safety class that we haven't attended yet. The infant CPR class was worth it. Scary in a way, but good to know! We did an online labor and delivery class. I think those were the only 4 things we did/are doing.

Hi all, had my 30 week checkup yesterday, was hoping to see my DS on a sono but the doc just did the doppler again this time.... was curious when they start to measure things like estimated weight? Now I start going every 2 weeks...
As far as classes, I don't think i am going to take any sort of class, hoping I will be ok!!
